The patch itself isn't different. Whether or not it's better is a matter of opinion that varies from person to person, judging by the feedback posted here and elsewhere.

because you are probably using sliders and rosters geared to improve the pre-patch gameplay. Try using the default sliders and official roster then tweak from there.
Opinions are my own.

I haven't tried it yet, I'm just basing it on the reviews here and OS. So does the two of you think it improved the gameplay?

the gameplay is different, whether it is improved or not is up to you.

I hated it at first, went back to defaults, and have been enjoying it since.

I tried that already, still have to sign in before each game. I can't believe 2K isn't even trying to correct this problem.

Hi, I have noticed the Online Data folder. I was wondering if this means that we will be able to have new commentary for future draftees (eg lamb, davis, beal, etc)

If you're playing the PC DVD-ROM version, check the Official Updates section in our Downloads database. Make sure you download the correct patch based on the version of the game you have; nine times out of ten, the language of the game and your region of the world should point you in the right direction there, just read the titles and descriptions on the download pages.

Personally, I ended up biting the bullet and reinstalling and playing the pre patch version on Albys sliders. Means I can't go online but I don't do that anyway. So if online play isn't a priority then this may be another thing people can do if they are frustrated with the patch. Albys sliders are great.

Today I decided to try out the patch so I installed it and know I can get even get into my game without it crashing! It goes to the sign in menu and it crashes to the desktop after that. Please help if you can as I have been searching around all morning for a fix and can't find one.

Are you all retarded?.. there's no patch v1.04 for the PC version, and this could solve the crash to desktop problems after 1st and 3rd quarter.. goddamnit.

The lastest patch for PC is the v1.01.

v1.04 is the one released for the 360/PS3. Even though the PC version is 1.01, it contains all the 1.04 fixes seen in the console versions. Since it came out first, before the PC version, the thread was named 1.04, and it made no sense to create a second patch thread that changes and updates the same things, or revert the 1.04 version back to 1.01. The numbering differences is due to the multiple patches the consoles got, and the 1 the PC version got.
Opinions are my own.

Ok, sorry for that then. Anyways it doesn't seem to fix that CTD problem.

Guess i'll have to wait for 2k13.. only 2 months.

Sadly, nothing does. Leftos and a few others worked hard on some unofficial solutions but nothing had a 100% success rate.
