game crashes to desktop on made baskets

Hi All,

My game keeps CTD when someone makes a basket. This does not happen on every made basket, I can usually get through a few quarters before this happens, but can't get through a full game. I have several rosters and this happens on every roster I use. I have the UBR and it happens in that roster also.

I had a physics 8 net wider mod going and it worked fine for ages. I removed the mod and replaced it with the original gamedata.iff I had backed up but the same problem still occurs. I have even re-installed the game and the same thing still occurs. I have tried several other things such as closing all other programs, running in high priority ect and I cant seem to find a solution.

I have also removed all mods I installed since this began a few days ago and it still happens.

My CPU the other day when starting it up did a "Checking discs" start up and the CPU said it could not fix itself. I ran the CPU in "boot mode" and teh CPU worked fine, no issues except this with 2K.

Does anybody have any advice or knowledge on how I can fix this? This is making the game unplayable.

Do you have the official patch installed?

I just re-downloaded it from Steam yesterday, will the update automatically be applied or do I need to find it and download it manually?

Thanks for the replies, I have it working normally again but I had to delete all the mods I had installed.

I am re-applying the mods gradually and testing them out as I go so hopefully this wont happen again.

I believe that's something with scrambled playtypes, in old versions of REDitor they had a good tendency to scramble. Try going to the Assign plays menu and find the teams that are causing the problem there, you'll notice if there are any problems.

How do I know which teams are causing the problem? When i play games it happens with every team I use in every roster I use?.....I had it working again until tonight it is CTD during games. Before it was when a shot went in now it happened after a "back court violation". I did not add any mods, just used reditor to assign some CF's to CAP's.
