Talk about NBA Live 14 here. Archived discussion on NBA Live 13 and NBA Elite 11 can also be found in this section.

Someone's gotta do it

Why do I edit Wikipedia?
Because I believe in a free source of knowledge and I can go on ideologically.
Why do I edit the NBA Live page when it gets mentioned? Because it takes like a minute to "fix" the page. I don't patrol it, but if someone brings it up, I do fix it and others.

I'm not talking about Wikipedia in general, obviously.
I was just reviewing the pages history and there "Microsoft Windows" has been put to the platforms so many times, that I would stop bothering from a point on. There will be an official announcement soon enough (if the info we have already isn't enough), and once we get closer to the release date, the lack of an option to buy a PC version, will make it apparent enough for the douchebags to stop editing the Wikipedia page.

I was talking about the NBA Live page, I've edited it maybe two or three times.
They will edit it after any "official" notice. These are cultists.

I think it's a case of some section of the PC crowd who are simply dying for it! That's why they're editing it back.
It's actually quite disturbing. Cos when I saw the page at first I was really excited. Now it let me down quite badly! Had I knew in the first place that there was no PC version coming. This wouldn't have been so painful.
To be perfectly honest those shopping sites actually deserve a slap for making photoshopped PC covers with the Games for Windows Live banner! Just brainwashing PC Gamers into believing something that isn't true.
With Origin in mind, any PC Gamer with a bit of intelligence would realize that no EA game that comes on Origin would utilize Games for Windows Live! Absolutely no EA game on Origin! Origin was made for a reason in the first place to activate your serial number, to have friends chatting, etc. GFWL wouldn't make sense, because GFWL in itself is like Origin that would also ask for a Product Code, also have the same friends chat system. GFWL would only have made sense if Origin didn't exist in the first place.
The only cover that I would believe in, is the PC DVD in the corner of the cover. Like for instance in the FIFA 13 PC cover, there is no Games for Windows Live banner. It only has PC DVD in the corner of the cover. Now that is genuine!

You're making a fuss out of believing things you shouldn't believe in the first place.
Rule of thumb is, don't believe anyone until the publisher announces the platforms for good.

Looks like it's back again. Wishful thinking, I'm afraid.
I'm surprised Kwame Brown isn't listed as the cover player. That one seems to pop up temporarily every year.

Brothers, let's just hope. There's nothing left we can do.

again, it is official from EA, there will be no NBA Live 13 PC, period.

I suppose we can hope for NBA Live 14 and beyond, though.

Maybe Live just chickened out from the PC league

What's to say that the series will go so far?

It's not a case of chickening out, it's a financial/demographics based decision. They're not the only developer to skip on releasing PC versions.
As far as the series going to NBA Live 14 and beyond...fairly likely, given that they've recently signed a multi-year license extension with the NBA. I suppose anything can happen given NBA Elite 11's cancellation but I believe they'll be doing their best to avoid going down that road again. Hopefully, it will turn out to be the misstep they needed to get the series back on track.
