^^ Hey bro ! My specs are :- Intel core 2 duo @ 2.93 GHz , 2GB RAM, Nvidia 9500gt at 1GB. Without copying your settings im able to run the game smoothly for like 3-4 mins but after that it really stutters like hell and then comes back to normal again. Any suggestions ? And also my GPU's temp touches 100 c and the cpu temp also touches 80-85 degrees Celsius. Anyway to cool them down? Help needed !

You're most probably going to ruin your equipment if it's running at those temperatures. Find a decent tower and have someone put all your stuff in it. Make sure to get one that has a front, side and back fan already installed.

Guys my FPS is around 20-22 with all high settings which i think is pretty much low. It would be nice if someone could fix this. Thanks in advance.
Here are my computer specs.

Processor: AMD A4-3300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.50GHz
VGA : AMD Radeon HD 5500 Series
OS: Windows Ultimate 32-bit
Memory: 4GBs of DDR3 Memory
Hard Drive: 500GB SATA II

What do you think guys?

VGA is low end. Lowering settings, removing crowd ( delete crowd.iff in nba2k12 folder ) is pretty much all you can do with that.

Isn't is possible that the game is using my dedicated video card? I can't even perform benchmarking when deleting the crowd.iff.

Also set crowd to low when deleted crowd. Well the left for dead 2 benchmark for this card shows 30 fps, which is less demanding game than 2k12. So 22 fps on high settings sounds normal.

Hey Guys, I tried using this config but sadly it didn't work for me. My fps is dropping from time to time, and it goes back to normal. I don't know what's the cause of this. Can anyone spot this kind of problem? I can't enjoy playing with this kind of gameplay. :(

oh btw, these are my specs:

Acer 4755G
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Intel core i5 (2.4 Ghz)
Nvidia GT 540m (2GB)
2GB RAM
750 HDD

try this:
MAIN_LOGICAL_THREAD = 4
GPU_LOGICAL_THREAD = 1

CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_0 = 4
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_1 = 1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_2 = -1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_3 = -1

check your nvidia control panel and make sure vsnic is off and triple buffering is on. (make sure your nvidia driver is updated to the latest)

you can also try to set your crowd and player res to medium to increase FPS more.

An i5, if I remember, only has four cores. Since the first core is zero, setting a thread to 4 might cause a problem. If you have edited your config, I suggest deleting it and letting the game recreate it. This helped in my case, and after looking at the config file, I noticed that the game used separate cores for all threads.

so, what Pdub said is that instead of 4 it's 3. I know my specs can handle the game in high settings, I already tried in High settings, it runs smoothly, but the fps drop thing that pisses me off..

yeah, my calculation was kinda off. :P

so it would be something like this with a Quad Core:
MAIN_LOGICAL_THREAD = 3
GPU_LOGICAL_THREAD = 2

CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_0 = 3
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_1 = 1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_2 = -1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_3 = -1

correct Pdub?

It would probably end up 3,2,1,0, or 0,1,2,3, with the last two cloth threads at -1. The safest way is to just delete the config file.

I should be getting more than 30 something fps with this computer right? Also, the game seems to not run as smooth as it should, sometimes.

@mitchy14: You have a really shitty graphics card, that's really only meant for basic stuff, like watching HD movies or something.

Remove ENB, lower your settings.

@pmfg10: I don't like your graphics card either. Anything that's less than something that ends in 60 will not be good enough, most of the times. Try lowering the settings.

With battery laptop automatically runs in power saver mode, which means your cpu and gpu is underclocked then. You might change it with power plan settings, but you would kill battery capacity really fast while playing games on it. It's best to play games with AC power only.
