NBA 2K12 PC Patch Out Now

I didn't install the patch. I was wondering if I can still use the post-patched mods to my vanilla nba 2k12? Or even just use the patched .exe. I don't want to apply all those patched files coz I got a lot of mods installed. All I'm really looking for is the gameplay fix

You can only go by trial and error. If some of the files that are updated by the patch had their structure changed and only the new EXE knows their proper offsets, replacing only part of the files of the patch may result in corruption and/or crashes.

There's no harm in trying anything though, if you keep backups.

I install the patch but I had a lot of lags (I didn't enjoy the game). Then I overwrite only the patched.exe with the old (before patch) .exe and the lags and the CTDs disappeared, the game run smoothly. I have a game with the patch installed but runs with the old .exe (runs better for me). The bad is I don't have online games but when I want to play online I will reoverwrite the backup patched.exe.

So is the patch worth downloading?

where do u live,where did u buy it from, are u 100% sure its a real copy.

Only way i know of to tell what version u have is look at your courts ingame if they have small logos on the side of courts inside 3point line without using courts logo tool u have US version.
If theres no small logos there u have EU version.

Yeah it's real copy I bought from retail game & book store . I will check courts

I wonder if someone might know which files are new in the patch and wasn't in the default installation.
Because I want to remove the patch (I have an online problems after installing it - it always says "There was some problem with your connection to 2K servers") but don't know which files exactly I should remove. And I don't want my game to stop working by removing some of necesary files.

Many files were updated not just new ones so you would have to reinstall the game. Even then, you wouldn't be able to play online because the 2k servers were updated to use the patched version of the game.

I bought 2K12 by Steam so that means that I've to download North America version right? Because I tried with EU version and they now ask me for CD/DVD.

that glitch isn't a big deal at all. with a company like 2k, we need to pick our battles and that's not one of them lol.

No they didn't fix it :/ and I think it's big deal for shitty 2K

You don't have to install the patch, let Steam just update it automatically.

An yes that graphics glitch happens to everyone, very annoying

The main thing I don't like is the Player of the Game Camera never focuses on the player when it zooms in. It misses the play every time now...

my impressions is that the game seems harder now (bad).

i didn't notice that new sweat texutre. it all looks pretty same to me at the moment.

i also didn't notice any fps dropdowns for now.

me too and some crashes also. Its a lot "heavier" after patch for my system

anybody here cannot do intentional foul by using turbo+RS after installing the patch?
