TV Shows during Season/Dynasty?

Postby username2004 on Sun May 30, 2004 3:09 pm

What if they made like a end of week or end of month wrap up show with a little digital Marv and Mike talking about the stories of teams during the season? Since you don't really know what goes on inside of other teams during dynasty, perhaps they could make up little subplots, rivalries, stories etc to talk about? Maybe select players could be interviewed during a win streak or a no. 1 seed?

I don't know, just an idea to make the dynasty more interesting... :?

It's a cool idea, but it would have to be really in-depth with plenty of unique stories and "replays", otherwise it would be too generic and would get boring fairly quickly. It probably wouldn't be too feasible, at least for NBA Live 2005.

ESPN Football is going to have this. A digital Chris Berman talking about your team, and halfway through the season the draft expert Mel Kiper comes in and starts talking about how players in college are playing

Well then, I guess it is feasible. But still, it would get boring if the analysis was too generic and the stories all pretty much the same except for the player and team names.

I'd be happy with nightly re-caps ala espn. Where you can see who the leading scorer, assists, rebounds for that game. Even though it's not your game.

it'd be cool.Live 2004 gives other scores for other games, but not stats.

I'd like to see the stats end of it but the TV Show would get old very fast unless they have like 300 different show presentations.

Just my opinion but I do like the stats idea. I.e. Box scores of the game.

I also would like to see the Baller of the week, month, year by Nike

Just another entertaining thing. :D

I've been longing for box scores since almost day one... They tell their own tale...

You could actually see how is everything going and who did what in each game. You could look back even at your own scores to see who is playing good lately and who is not. I don't remember how my team does from game to game. And it's really hard to try to keep it up. Especially with Live 04 where you can't even save stat sheets to the cpu.

Information is the key to all situations. All goes to toilet when you have to make decisions based on "I guess so" feelings. Numbers tell the tale.

I agree, boxscores for simulated games would be awesome. (Y)

EA's football games get everything good, because I know the new Madden will have a feature with actual newspapers detailing what happened in your game, as well as around the entire league, AND a weekly radio broadcast where an actual ESPN radio announcer will talk about your team's performance. And NCAA Football 2004 already introduced the Sports Illustrated feature, which was awesome.

Seriously, I don't know why EA can't pool its resources and give those features to all of its sports games.

Well, NBA LIve 2004 had a magazine with a picture of the hotstuff on the front and everything like that. You can not open it up and read it but maybe this year they will :D

In Live 2004, the pregame highlights where the player is shown scoring over the other team gets kinda old too...
