Is this normal?

When I quit the game in association the game doesn't simulate to the end but it just seems like it has never been played... I don't know if this is right because I don't want to have the ability to cheat if I am loosing a game, in 2k11 the game just simulated till the end of the game and it was recorded as played game. Why not in 2k12?

Isn't there a "quit and simulate to the end" option?

because you quit so nothing happened, if you want it to simulate then choose simulate to the end
