The X wrote:Agreed with more or less everything you said there Andrew. I think it's worth me saying that I would never intentionally lose. Even through all those bad teams in prior years, it was frustrating, I never tried to lose. I was just playing with some really terrible teams with no offensive firepower. I also made life harder for myself by playing shorter seasons, bumping up difficulty (by level or sliders) once I got better at game so I'd have to keep upping the ante, & also simming at least half my games so if I had a terrible team it would never win those games, so I never had a realistic shot of making playoffs, until I was able to build a better team.

Whether you win 70 games or 20 games, doesn't really matter. As long as you're having fun. I hope my previous post didn't come across as bashing anybody else's dynasty or Association, because that wasn't my intention, it was just to add some context to mine.

Not at all, I agree with all that you've said on the matter. I think a break in realism is inevitable in modes like this, at least in some areas. Once you're a few years in, there's going to be more fictional elements as you move further and further away from a realistic snapshot of the league.

COngrats on the great success, sounds like ti was a real grind in some of those games. Haha Michael Beasley must have laid of the waky baky and actually lived up to his potential. Love the Gordon and Aflalo contributions too.

Yep, some of the games were tough, especially against Nuggets & OKC. Beasley, Gordon & Afflalo were definitely big factors in the playoffs (Y)

I thought about continuing this because 2K12 sucked but now 2K13 is pretty good, I won't be continuing this one.

Looking back a feel a bit bad that I won the title. Shouldn't have played all the games, should've just stuck to play one, sim one. Ahh well. But the worst thing I feel about is accepting Clippers offer of Eric Gordon & 1st Rd pick (ending up being a top 3 & helped me win title) for Jonny Flynn (whom I am now watching play for the Melbourne Tigers in the NBL  ). Yes, that's my low point, even if Flynn was more valuable sim/ratings player in 2K11

If anything, I feel like I jinxed both Flynn & Gordon's careers. One is NBL player now & the other is always injured.

Ah well, hopefully one or two of you enjoyed this one.

Cheers,
X

Definitely enjoyed it (Y) Totally understandable with regards to the winning championship part because really the development of the players are too fast in 2K11 and that makes it hard to keep the "realism" so to speak  At any rate this is HOF-bound I reckon!

Looking forward to your 2K13 one X! :chug:

Great story, X. Funny to see Jonny Flynn playing in Australia. What a bust.

Thanks guys. I'm not sure if it's HOF worthy, but I'm a harsher critic than most, that's why I'm sure most would be glad I don't run the HOF induction process :P

Seems to me like it's going in. As usual, will leave it here for a few days so it's readily visible for those who'd like to offer some final comments and congratulations.

I enjoyed this one while it lasted. Sadly (not sad IMO but maybe sad for The X), my favourite part of this one were the Darko Challenges.

Congrats on the HOF
