Talk about NBA 2K12 here.

Total Conversions, Player Updates, Courts, Uniforms, anything. No poll, just curious as to what people want to see modded this year.
Personally I'm hoping for more Total Conversions than 2k11.

Jerseys, courts(incl. dornas ofc), accurate sliders and rosters(if these count), accurate CFs. Not into total conversions. Oh mehn, I would really love to all-star weekend in 2k but I think it's not yet time.T_T

I'm mostly interested in roster-based mods. Whether it be updated-rosters or draft classes, anything i can use in my favourite aspect of 2k - association mode.

I would like to have a mod that increases the speed of passing and receiving animations, as well as some of the blocking animations. A create-a-player mod for both the models and textures would be cool, too.
More importantly, the player shaders from the 360 on the pc from the shadowing to the specular lighting on the player models.

I want it through a program like tsearch or cheat engine, not one that would break the forum rules.

I know I heard a "Beat the Heat" chant when I played against the Heat.
AI mod. I am wishing the impossible because of how limited the modding in 2k but still I would love to see improvements in the AI like how those patchers did in the NBA Live games.

then you should start learning C++ and make it for us
or learn how to copy ratings from the free version of the REDitor, into excel, do global ratings there, then paste them back into REDitor.....just sayin'

cool I had no idea extraction was possible
and yes C++ will need to be learned soon for BA in computer science

so maybe I will make you something if your nice

if extraction works I will be quiet

I always play a fictional league. So I am always looking for random cyberfaces, team art and all other non "updates". I was hoping someone would create some more fictional team jersey and courts this year.
One other mod I would like to see is a way to make the season stats look more real. Less players playing 82 games. More players in and out of rotations registering DNP's some games and 20 minutes other games.
Which brings me to the fact I cannot wait for Vl@d to publish his editor. I love working with that.

Once Red Editor comes out, I plan on doing some roster and draft classes.
I would like to see a more organized effort with CFs and courts. We should go player by player, court by court, so that each one is modded and given a good effort.
I'd also like to learn how to mod courts and CFs, so more tutorials would be nice.

Suddenly, I'm intrigued. Is there a way to extract data from a roster file into a different format and back again? I'm asking because as an IT Consultant, I develop C# applications on a daily basis. So if anybody knows anything about that, I'd be more than happy to at least give it a try.

take a look at this thread for what is publicly known about Roster files
viewtopic.php?f=144&t=82331the easiest thing to do is to copy out a roster, change one rating for a player, then do a hex compare of the roster to see what changed and how. I'd be glad to help more if you need it.

I'm trying to find the entries for hot/cold/neutral zones, you see. Since these are not editable in the game, they should be quite hard to find. But I'll give it a shot.

@jaosming,
is there a forum post or link to show the proper way to extract to excel and import from RED Editor III ?
