New here, How do i use patches?

I have downloaded all patches. copied and pasted to my 2k12 folder but some files are there but are not actively in 2k12 when i run the program. like rosters, I copied the updated patch and pasted in the 2kfolder it says its a ROS fie, I see it in the folder right up under the roster.iff file but i cant find it iin game nor can i find the shoes i've downloaded.

a roster file (.ROS) goes to your saves folder....usually it's under documents and settings, a hidden folder so make sure you show all hidden files first...search google or the forum for the exact path of the saves folder...hope this helps...

is there any one who can give me a tut on how to put this in game on the pc i'm lost with turning the ros file into a iff file. im a newbie at pc gaming and inputting patches.

Rosters go in [User Name]/AppData/Roaming/NBA 2K12/Saves

how do you update shoes with dmayne's patch i dont want to damage the program and have to reinstall it. anyone have step by step tut on how to do this. by the way dmayne has instructions i followed them didn't het the instructed results reversed my steps now i am back at square 1 any help would be appreciated.

Say I want to use the file that unlocks everything, I think it ends with .STG made by Jao, can I load it together with a .ROS roster file and these two will not overwrite each other?
