The official "I have NBA 2K12" thread

For those who just want to declare that they have a copy of the game (and/or post a photo of it), please do so here. Reviews, impressions and whatever can be discussed elsewhere but we don't need umpteen threads of people announcing they've got the game, so please keep it in this stickied thread.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to say that until this Friday. As I mentioned elsewhere, Aussie stores seem to be adhering to the street date this year.

Pre ordered it at the beginning of September with my local gamestop, alwaysblack paid for it this year for me thanks again brother

It is annoying that game stores in Australia are not giving me NBA 2K11 early... They claim that they would get sued or something by 2K sports, but I did get a compromise and the staff at GAME reduced my pre-order price to $40 dollars. Solid Hustle. Will be waiting eagerly for Friday though, at least I've got 2 games of golf between now and then to fill my time, then I can start some jersey updates if the files are compatible with current editors.

Cant wait here in October 7 to buy in our local gamestore here in philippines (will post screens here with my copy) and the iff editor dont work that's suck's

It just means the tools will need to be updated. I'm sure that'll happen soon enough if necessary.

man, none of the iff editors work. 2k9 beta, mod tool 2k10, mod tool 2kx, jersey editor, friggin iffset, none of them.

Yep, me and a few friends were trying to figure it out since yesterday night.

What you can probably enjoy from the files folder is this little gem --- "pchead_stubble_balding.iff"

and many other ones with the PC prefix. I'm guessing that this year we get to mod the hairstyles of players. Like making the dreads into a flattop or other stuff like that.

There's also some "street_xxxx" that you might like Jao since you're a fan of blacktop. Editable crowds, 3pt shootout countdown, etc...

none of those "street" things mean anything, especially since DC and 3pt shootout arent in the game

I was experiencing input lag with the demo over my component video connection, but while playing at the gamespot for a few minutes it was much more responsive. So I naturally switch to using an hdmi cable that I had laying around. The display froze during the TOS of 2K12. At that point I was getting really tired, and decided it would be better to play when I was fresh, so I got some sleep. I wake up, eat, check some emails, and turn the 360 on.

3 red lights. Swtiched connections, did the power supply unplugging and replugging. Tried the reset of the display settings by holding RT and Y. Nothing works. So, what it's saying to me, is that possible a bad hdmi cable completely fucked up my xbox 360?

bawls man, I don't know what the lights and crap mean other than its broken.

I think it also gives three red lights when your display isn't working. Buy a test HDMI cable for 4.99 to see if everything is good. Hope it is!

I have three cables. El cheapo bundled with dvd player, a monster cable that is a couple years old, and a game stop cable I got this year. I have yet to try the game stop cable since it is connected top my computer.

I'm sure that if it were the cable, switching back to component should have worked. I should have known something was wrong when it froze the first time. Weird thing is, I turned it back on before I went to sleep and it was fine. So I turned it back off.

Well thats sucks Pdub. I actually switched from 360 back in 09' because I got the rrod even after I had played the system just fine a few hours before.
