How many controllers in PC mode?

Fri Sep 30, 2011 7:02 pm

The only complaint I had about 2k11 was that they reduced the number of PC USB controllers from 4 + 1 keyboard (2k10) to 3 + 1 keyboard. That's ridiculous, locking one controller exclusively for someone using a keyboard. No one in this day and age uses a keyboard to play this game, and if you did, get a job at McDonald's and buy a $10 gamepad. I used to love having my friends over and having a 2 on 2.

Anyone know how many controllers 2k12 will allow? If these developers weren't so hung up on crap consoles, they could allow full 5 on 5. A PC can daisy chain over 150 USB devices. Hell, I should be able to have someone controlling the ref or the guy selling popcorn in the stands.

ohh.. thats an offensive approach towards a keyboard user like me. I use keyboard since nbalive 2003 and up until now i'm using it. I don't like to use gamepad, I tried but I can't feel my gaming mode. I can't feel the game. I gave it to my brother and now we are always playing team vs team on our association. I don't need to buy a gamepad for myself, i dont need to work at McDonald's to buy a gamepad coz i already have a job and i don't use gamepad because it's not my preference. Like you who didn't like to play using keyboard. My only disadvantage in the game is unable to use behind the back animation which can easily done using a gamepad. But what matters most in this game is timing of defense and a good gameplay. Thanks to 2ksports they still hear out us keyboard users. I hope they will have a button for that behind the back motion for keyboard.

Well, no offense meant. But I too have been playing bball games with a PC since NBA Live 95. I too used to use a keyboard, but no way can I use it for games in this decade.

1) no modulation - keyboard is digital, you're either going full speed or not. Gamepad, you can walk the ball up the court.
2) you can go N,S,E,and W, but not NE,SE,SW,NW.
3) In the heat of the moment, you don't need to be searching for 1 button out of 101.
4) Can't select type of layup.

...a ton of other stuff.

You're really losing out on a lot of control by sticking to the KB.

Hey, keyboard and mouse are great for some games (FPS). But nothing beats a controller for sports games. (For FPS, controllers suck).

It's the TRUTH.

I'd have to agree. It's great that the keyboard is still supported for people who prefer not to play with a gamepad, but gamepads have advantages that sports games can cater to better than they can with a keyboard.
