I don't get the Malone-Tim Duncan one, mate.
And I've another one, Dennis Rodman-Ron Artest. "See Ron,
this is the correct way to antagonize people when you're fighting for a rebound."

Jeez, quite a few people don't like to know what they're doing, do they?. Or maybe the just don't want others to learn the tricks.
Yet, I bet this won't cut down on the "how do I do such-and-such move" posts we get each year.
Anyway, just to make shure this gets posted in here.

Possibly, but I think it's more a case of not being something that people necessarily wanted or were greatly hoping for, so it's a reaction to it being news on something other than what they're interested in hearing about as much as anything else. Like I said, I think I'm going to find it quite beneficial and it's a creative use of the legends they've licensed. It's not the most exciting news we could hear about the game but it's a solid addition.

Patrick Chewing did most of the hard work tutoring Howard but Deke was there at the start. iirc at the request of Ewing to help out.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4086156Early this season, the Orlando Magic center was talking to Patrick Ewing and Dikembe Mutombo. The once great big men were giving Howard some tips, and Mutombo asked him a simple question.
"He said, 'What do you want to be remembered as, the great dunker who won the slam dunk contest with a Superman outfit on, or do you want to do something better than that?'" Howard recalled Tuesday. "I said, 'I want to be one of the greatest players.' And he said it starts with defense."

I assume they'll be mentors. Who could teach them anything?

Wait, wait. So you'll be playing in training camp like the development thingy? Heck, that would be harder.o.O

No, it's a way for users to learn all the controls by completing drills/tasks.
