Jason Richardson Is Now A Bull

Tribune reporter
11:06 p.m. CDT,October 23rd, 2011

The Chicago Bulls now have their starting 2 guard to team with Derrick Rose. Today the team announced the signing of former NBA dunk contest champion Jason Richardson, who agreed to a 3 yr/$19 million deal.
After being trounced out of last years Eastern Conference Finals by the Miami Heat, one of the Bulls main problems were exposed, and that was no one outside of Derrick Rose could create their own shot. The team feels Jason will address that problem and more.

"We love Jason's game, we fill it complements what we are trying to do here with this group of guys," Bulls GM John Paxson said. "Our nucleus is strong enough to contend with anyone out there now it's going out there and proving it."

Management also considered pursuing guard J.R. Smith who's penetration skills, athleticism, and amazing shooting range would have benefited the team greatly, but decided against signing J.R. due to his unpredictable personality and ultra streaky shooting. "Thing about J.R. is when he's hot, he's as good as a Kobe or LeBron, when he's not, he lets it affect his whole game," Denver Nuggets Coach George Karl said.

Jason will choose to wear number 24 in Chicago due to his longtime jersey number being retired her for a certain player who also played the shooting guard position.

With the announcement 2 days ago that Tyson Chandler would leave Dallas for greener pastures down south,
The Mavs were left with a whole at center. Today The Mavs announced the signing of Samuel Dalembert the defensive, rebounding minded center from Haiti.
"Were disappointed to not be able to bring Tyson back, he helped us accomplish something this franchise had never done before and we are very grateful for that. He was one of the most significant pieces to our title last year and we wish him the best down in Miami. We are hoping that Sammy will provide the same impact that Tyson had on our team last season, " Mavs Owner Mark Cuban said today at their presser.

Kings acquire 3
former NBA champions
in 1 day

The Sacramento Kings have shocked the NBA pulling off 3 stunning moves today acquiring All-Star
point guard Tony Parker, former Celtics forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, and former
Detroit Piston Tayshaun Prince.

The Kings have been the doormat of the Pacific Division and Western Conference for the last 5 years
and if their was anyway to signal that an end would be put to it, this is a great way to show it.
In a rally earlier this year Mayor Kevin Johnson said he wanted to make sure the Kings stay in Sacramento,
but he also knew the team would have to improve. "We don't want to return here again" he said of the
Kings in the NBA Draft Lottery.

To acquire Tony Parker from the Spurs the Kings sent Jason Thompson who became expendable after
the JJ Hickson trade, Donte Greene, who hasn't yet lived up to potential, Isiah Thomas, this years
1st rounder, and next years 2nd rounder. Tayshaun and Big Baby both agreed to 2 year deals worth
$13 million and 12.1 million respectively.

Sacramento will now become one of the best up and coming teams in the league and should be able to
threaten the likes of the Lakers, Mavs, and be right there for years with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The buzz has returned to the city around the Kings now will we finally get a deal done for a new
arena to house this new age of Kings basketball.

Hornets Go Shopping

Postby qfrmcpt310 on Thu Aug 25, 2011 4:01 pm

The New Orleans Hornets have signed guard Shannon Brown and forward Kenyon Martin.
Brown agreed to a 2 yr/$12.01 million deal while Martin agreed to a 2yr/$10.67 million deal.
After David West opted out of his contact and signed with the Orlando Magic,
the Hornets have had a whole at the 4 spot. The 2 guard spot was
also fairly weak so the signing of Shannon gives the Hornets a pretty nice starting 5.

Reports are that the Hornets will be sold by the end of the month,
but sources say the new owner will not be a native of New Orleans, though it is not sure whoever it is will try to relocate the team.

Nets sign Stevenson/Cavs sign J.R. Smith

Postby qfrmcpt310 on Thu Aug 25, 2011 5:20 pm

Newark,NJ--The New Jersey Nets have signed NBA Champion and "LeBron Stopper" DeShawn Stevenson to a 3 year 22.31 million dollar deal.
The Nets didn't do any big shopping this summer, and they didn't help their case to convince Deron Williams to stay after this season when they move to Brooklyn. They did however help their case to make a playoff run this year, atleast in the Eastern Conference.

Image
Cleveland,OH--Cleveland Found Kyrie Irving a legit backcourt running mate in 25 year old J.R. Smith who signed on for 4 years at $26.27 million. After what happened a summer ago the Cavs can use every bit of talent they can acquire and J.R. Smith and Kyrie Irving is a nice start.

Lol. Thanks. I know I have a bit of a realism fad kind of a curse sometimes because you tend to overdue it at times. As far as SA goes, Thierry should find hope in them having a plan for the future

Iggy traded to Warriors for Monta Ellis
Image
Image

Sources tell us that the 76ers and Golden State Warriors have agreed to part with
each others "star" players. In a swap most thought would happen months ago
the Warriors send Monta Ellis to the City of Brotherly Love for Andre Igoudala.
Iggy during his time year has become one of the better defensive players in the NBA,
though he hasn't shown the ability to become a franchise caliber talent. With an
inconsistent jumper, and lack of true control over games, Iggy has relied mostly on
athleticism and high flying dunks to hold over here in Philadelphia.
Monta on the other hand has put up All-Star caliber numbers for the past few
seasons with the Warriors, but has failed to show his production was anything
more than bloated stats from playing on a bad team.
Both will try to start anew and try to change everyone's perspectives on their abilities
to become all-around star talents or franchise leading men.

The 76ers today also announced the signing of very raw yet very talented forward Quincy Calloway
from Compton,Ca. The Sixers hope they can mold him into atleast a contributor this season, what
this means down the line for Craig Brackins is to start to be determined in training camp this coming week.
