All's good then. Even though I'm no [english] nazi, add some consistent paragraphs to your posts and you're ok.

I've used PlayAsia (

Okay here's my pro's and con's with what we know about 2k12 so far.
Pros: none
Cons: Not enough Legends,Not enough current teams, not enough classic teams, courts are to bright, players are to dark, no Barkley, the basketball looks to small, the fans look to real, the coaches are to fat, the shoes have to many colors, the players move to fast, passes are thrown to slow, the baskets are to tall, players don't jump high enough, and many other things.

...
I don't actually believe anything I posted above I just needed to counter all the optimism being posted above by a certain user.

Cool it guys. 2k12 is going to be another very good game. I think since we have such high expectations of 2k, it came as a bit of a letdown for many.
For me personally, I thought the 3 cover guys (MJ, Bird & Magic) would get their own challenges (five each). I'm sure many of the older guys would've wanted to try those with Bird & Magic. I didn't expect the other 12 guys to get challenges, maybe just one-off ones then you unlock rest.
It's great they're adding old school teams & presentation (this is better than teams) but they dropped the ball with certain team choices (i.e. choosing '85 Sixers over '83 Sixers, duplicating '98 Jazz, having teams from consecutive years like '71 & '72 Lakers, '86 & '87 Lakers and '86 & '87 Celtics) as we could've had another five great teams added (say '77 Blazers, '77 76ers who I believe they have added as DLC, '83 76ers, '00 Lakers, Celtics w/Havlicek, Cowens, JoJo etc) to play with.
Also saying that they are choosing players at their peak when they were in really in the twilights of their respective careers (i.e. Oscar in '71, Wilt in '72, Dr J in '85 & Kareem in '87) is idiotic. I think they also rubbed a few people the wrong way by saying that their votes on Facebook would count since Iverson, Reggie & Chuck weren't included. If they can't sign them, they should have come out and said we've given you all of the players that you voted for that we were able to come to terms with etc.
What I would like to see is 50-60 great teams plus all-time teams for each franchise plus the 30 normal current NBA teams. Now that would be impressive
All that being said, I'm glad they're rehashing the old players as now they're adding animations for them and trying to make them play, look like & feel like the legends, it beats the hell out of the generic feel I use to get from using the all-decade team legends (i.e. Bill Russell not dominant defensively because he's 6'9" & skinny).

The '70-'71 Lakers are in twice, too.

Given that the preorder bonuses are the reason I'm preordering...

Minus the fact that Sir Charles and Reggie aren't in the game...which isn't 2k's fault..I like what I see. I'm partial to that 99' knicks team which had that story book playoffs....they could've included them instead of the kings considering the kings never made the finals..but oh well.

What I was implying was that you'd have to check with PlayAsia first before pre-ordering to see if you get it, which I would assume you would. I just can't vouch either way for it since I've never pre-ordered with them where you get pre-order bonuses with it (only done one or two normal pre-orders, no bonuses).

I think most non-Knicks fans would go with '02 Kings over '99 Knicks. That being said, I would've preferred if 2k didn't do '98 Jazz (duplicate) vs '98 Spurs & instead do '99 Spurs vs '99 Knicks. Would've been great to get Sprewell in the game, ahh well.

To wabenne:
As I was one of the main commenters about the decision of what 76er's team 2K chose, I feel the need to respond to you.
My first post on the subject was mearly a remark, not a complaint just a remark, on how weird it was that they would chose a team where one of the key players would be unavailable. Rather than complaining about Barkley not being in the game, I had wondered why they didn't chose an earlier team that still featured Dr. J. but was before Barkley was on the team.
Later, I had found out that the 76er's team 2K had selected would be missing two starters and a key backup. This seemed even more weird to me, and I said so. I further found out that 2K is including a second 76er's team which would have been an even better choice for Dr. J.'s Legends challenge, which made the selection of the 1984-85 76er's seem even more odd. Note that this also was not a complaint about players 2K couldn't use, but questioning their decision not to focus on a team where most of the key players are available to them.
Thanks to all of the tools and editors available to us PC users, I never have and never will have to worry about who is or isn't in the NBA 2K games. But when the designers make a decision about one of their main advertised features that strikes me as poorly thought out, I will question them publicly.

Yep, whatever version you want. US version, Japanese version, Chinese version, PAL version, take your choice. Check the website & search for 2k12 & you will see that each region has a separate entry. I haven't shopped with them for a few years since getting US version titles of College Hoops 2k7 & 2k8 and NBA 2k8.
Mon Aug 22, 2011 3:24 pm
Righto. They want $50 for it, though, which is higher than some of the numbers I've seen thrown around before. Wasn't at least one place selling it for $20?
Mon Aug 22, 2011 8:25 pm
Does seem a lot for PC version. I'm only use to buying console games so couldn't tell you. Good luck with your search, you should be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.
Tue Aug 23, 2011 1:46 am
If 2K follows their usual pattern, the price will drop around the release of the "only" patch for PC.
Tue Aug 23, 2011 6:13 am
it's a bad thing that the consoles get multiple patches and the PC only gets one that fixes all the issues (and in the case of 2k10, fixes more issues than the consoles got fixed)?

I don't know whether this has been posted yet. If so, then ignore it. Here is a list of the team's with their roster:
http://www.pastapadre.com/2011/08/19/co ... more-46141It seems the 77 Sixers are in there as an unlockable team.

Yes, that's been posted by way of the second Developer Insight (linked in this thread) and I've also updated our
Wiki entry for NBA's Greatest accordingly. But thanks all the same.

Which doesn't help with the Kings and Warriors teams.

For the Kareem challenge (if it's done with him as a Laker), they really should have picked the 84-85 Lakers; that was when it was still his team, and he provided a stellar performance in spite of his age to finally win the championship against the Celtics. In 87, it was clearly Magic's team.
I'm very happy Pete Maravich is in there though.
Wed Aug 24, 2011 10:58 am
Kareem's challenge is indeed the Lakers/Celtics game from 1987. I agree that 1985 would've been a better choice, though his numbers in the 1987 Finals were still more than respectable.

What I love about all this legend stuff are the signature moves. I read somewhere that they're going to try to recreate all of Pistol Pete's moves, for example. My custom player's gonna be PIMPIN!
Fri Aug 26, 2011 3:31 am
I remember playing Nba Live 2000 and most of these Nba 2k12 featured legends were in Live 2000 with few exception like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Of course I am talking about Nba Live and Nba 2k, two different companies, and different game and 11-12 years apart.
Anyways, back to Nba 2k12.
Questions?
1. Can you trade this legends to any of the current Nba team??? say I wanna trade Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to the 2011-12 Lakers team, is that possible? and if possible then can you use legend players in association mode???? I heard you can only play legend on quick exhibition games.
If all of these scenarios are possible, then I can't wait to pair up Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon on the same team, or say MJ and Bird, wowww the best of all, everything in high definition.
Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:28 am
im pretty sure you are able to put a legendary player on an NBA team in 2k11 and bring them into association mode. so it'll probably be the same for 2k12

LaPhonso Ellis has been added to the '94 Nuggets roster, as
announced by Ronnie 2K on Twitter.
We have just secured the #NBA2K12 rights to '93 Denver Nuggets LaPhonso Ellis and added him to roster
And to celebrate:

Now that Mt. Mutombo is back for this Denver team, I wish they gave him his finger wag taunt and get away with a "T" from the ref.
