I just can't win on superstar! I've won once and thats it.
My offence is decent, however my Defence is poor..... The cpu ussually shoot about 65%-70% on me. They kill me in the post big time... They fast break.. and they steal the ball from me all the time....
Superstar users please wright some tips here to help me out here.

i'll reply...
you just gotta learn how to play better defense. try little things like, don't control your defensive player who is guarding their superstar (i.e., i'm the raps, and when i play, let's say, phoenix, i try my best to not control alvin williams on defense b/c starbury is one hard player to defend against. i let the computer handle that until i get better with the controls, defensively.
i'm into my second season; my first season, i got eliminated in the first round against the wizards; my record this season is much better, - i'm only playing .500 ball! just don't expect to win in superstar your first year, unless you've been playing the game for months and months; you gotta get used to the new controls and stuff...
that's all it is - more practice and with time, you'll win the championship... you should, anyway...

I use the same method as you nbkid. I usually take control of the "D" when he has position to either steal or take a charge. I know at first it frustrating because the computer is just kickin' your A$$ but in time you'll start to put up a winning record.

call man to man - this can make your teamates steal more. Also, when the cpu back you down, press the take charge button to call for offensive foul.
When offending, pass to the man at the low post and hold back down button. Meanwhile you can do one of the following:
1. jump hook,
2. turnaround jumper,
3. pump fake and drive in or
4. (when being double team) pass to the unmarked player and make a 3 pt shoot

Offensivley i'm fine,, it's just the defence part....
I've tried some tips that you guys gave me, but damn the cpu just dominates me,, usually shoots 60%

i dont win much either....but i find i get alot closer if i knuckle down & really concnetrate on matchups...u know like i will use the defensive matchups screen heaps to ensure that i have good defenders on their best guys plus i will select high pressure on these guys & sometimes automatic doubleteam....esp if tey isolate alot....u just gotta focus...plus always try to have yer hands up when they shoot or fly out at the shooter...just just stand there...
thats me for now...hope tat helps a bit
peace

For a situation in the post should i try to block or just throw my hands up?, I seem to have more success in putting my hands up. But in situations where i'm gaurding guys like Ming/Duncan ect it doesn't seem to help at all.

Just keep practising, I could never win a game at the start then all of a sudden I started winning and now I hardly lose. Always defend the cpu player I find it helps you work out how the cpu moves and what they will do in certain situations, sure you'll bet burnt a few times but if you do just change players and try and get in his way. When they are posting up either take a charge and hope they call it or just watch them, time your jump and block the shot. If you're getting the ball stolen alot you gotta watch your passes cause they will steal it in a second and be on the fast break, don't pass across the court work it round the perimeter and try a few pump fakes it always works, I know it's cheap but from there you can create some nice plays.

Since today i'm having great difficulty on superstar with the wingman controller...i've always used the keyboard...i've always won (well most games)...but ever since i started using this controller i lose
.
Keyboard is easier imo...i always push the wrong buttons with the wingman.
