Finish them off!!

So this is one of the many Miami sports tragedies? :P

Mavs4Life wrote:3OT, Miami wouldn't die. The Shot: Derrick Rose would be an awesome commercial.

Correction, I (Chicago) wouldn't die  but yup, D-Rose's version of The Shot would be great!

Thierry • wrote:3 extra periods? God! They just wouldn't lose. Good job with Derrick.

I wouldn't lose  Cheers man, Rose came up big for me

Axel. wrote:Wow! How did you celebrate when Rose made that game-winning shot? Help came for Wade in this one, maybe he just needs J-Smoove's help to be able to take a game. Unless that happens, you'll be able to finish them off next game; a triple OT loss is hard to recover from.

I was as stunned as D-Wade, but 100x more happier hahaha
I agree, Wade needs some offensive help from J-Smoove to have a shot in this series

hova- wrote:Sweeeeeeeeep. You gonna sweep em all I guess. Great game by D-Rose.

One more game!!! :)

Justine. wrote:Never been into a triple OT in 2k11 :) Awesome shot by Rose. Sweep is coming

2K10  but yup, first time for me too I believe. Fun, but crazy game that ended appropriately with a pretty wicked play (Y)

Martti. wrote:Damn, Wade can't do it by himself. Pothead and J-Smoove suck, Fredette chucking shots like an idiot..

Spo should play Haslem and Washburn more!

I really don't get why Spoelstra is starting an injured third-string point guard over his rookie of the year.....

I hope so, and yup, Spoelstra (or should I say 2K10) benching Wasburn is puzzling to say the least. Not that I'm complaining :P

Lakers' Odom wins second straight Kia Sixth Man of the Year Award
By Official release
Posted May 10 2012 6:05PM

NEW YORK -- The Los Angeles Lakers' Lamar Odom is the winner of the 2011-12 KIA NBA Sixth Man Award as the league's best player in a reserve role, the NBA announced today, marking the second straight season the forward has earned the honor.

Odom received 513 of a possible 585 points, including 96 of a possible 117 first-place votes, from a panel of 117 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. Rookie Harrison Barnes of the Milwaukee Bucks finished second with 244 points while Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks finished third with 76 points.

In order to be eligible for this award, players had to have come off the bench in more games than they started. Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote.

For the second straight season, Odom came off the bench in all of the 82 games he has appeared in, and provided his versatility for the Los Angeles Lakers and helped them in securing the NBA-best 69-13 record. For the season, Odom averaged 9.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 49 percent from the field, 41 percent from three, and 65 percent from the charity stripe.

In addition, Odom was also second in the NBA in triple double's this season, racking up an impressive 6 triple doubles while coming off the bench.

The 2010-11 NBA Sixth Man Award presented by Kia Motors is part of a series of on-court performance awards called "The NBA Performance Awards Presented by Kia Motors." The series, currently in its third season, is a significant part of the multiyear marketing partnership between Kia Motors America and the NBA, and also includes the Most Improved Player, Defensive Player and Most Valuable Player of the Year awards. It also includes the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month presented by Kia Motors, which are awarded during the regular season.

Nice 3OT win, and Liam should get more burn. Spo is asking to be replaced by Pat Riley. I think Pat will takeover for Game 4 :P

He is isn't he? I don't see him getting fired since it's 2K10 though. Def will be if this happened IRL

Kidd Sets NBA Playoff Record in Mavs Victory
May 10th, 2012

Image
It was a double victory for Jason Kidd and his Dallas Mavericks
earlier this evening, as the Mavs defeated the three time defending
champion Los Angeles Lakers, 127-101, to take a commanding 3-1 series
lead in the Western Conference Second Round Series.

Aside from Dirk Nowitzki's dominating 40 poing performance, the Mavericks'
other future hall of famer Jason Kidd put on a show; as he broke the NBA's
single game playoff assist record, dishing out a staggering 27 dimes in
the victory.

"It means a lot of my teammates put the ball in the basket" Kidd said
"Most importantly we got the win"

The previous record of 24 assists was held by both Magic Johnson (May 15th 1984),
and John Stockton (May 17th 1988).

I'll say Nash too, maybe. but yes Kidd is damn awesome!

IMHO I rank him at the very top, even over Magic

Well for me he would be placed second as Magic was capable of more if he hadn't retired sooner than expected. And he's more versatile as well.

But I would have ranked Stockton near those two.

Kidd moved ahead of Stockton thanks to the championship ring but Stockton is fuckin legendary! The longevity and just doing what he did for so long for one franchise is amazing.

Yes Magic is more versatile numbers-wise, but remember J-Kidd is way shorter and still gets 100+ triple doubles  I'll agree that Magic could've done more had he not counteracted HIV though :(

I respect Stockton, but I still think Kidd is ahead of him even without the ring

Larvae wrote:For me, Stockton is still ahead of Kidd.

Each to their own I guess, as I said I have mad respect for Stockton, but perhaps it's due to the Bulls fan in me, I still don't rank him over Jason Kidd or Magic
