Nothing wrong with the first part of that, but the second part might be a red flag. ;)

So, I completely forgot forgot about this place for a long time. Now that the world isn't ending, I remembered the good old times here and decided to come back. Good to see this that the community is still strong here, and that a lot of the same people are still around. Congrats Jao, I remember you starting at UMass like it was yesterday. :P Now, I'm going off next year and can't believe it.

I'm back from my 2 week wedding hiatus. Had a beautiful sunrise ceremony that was presided over by our siblings (who we had ordained) and had an amazing honeymoon down at North Carolina's Outer Banks. We did a Honey Fund where instead of people buying us more appliances that we'll never use, they bought us activities while we were on our honeymoon. So they paid for sushi, jet skiing, kayaking, dinners, gas money etc etc. That was a pretty awesome idea by the wife.

I am stuck at my parents house right now until tomorrow though, one of the tires on my car blew out on the highway while we were nearby so we limped the car here for the night until we can get a new tire tomorrow.

Glad to be back (go check out my tattoo if you haven't) and yea, did you miss me? :fruity:

I was there pretty recently, and interestingly enough, one of our tires blew on the way there. We just drove, because, well, I live in NC.

I like the OBX, it's a really nice place in the spring. Too hot in the summer, but really, everything south of New England is hot in the summer, so no biggie.

Well I'm back. For the chirping crickets out there that are interested, I went to Six Flags and won a Manu Ginobili jersey in a three-point shootout. It was similar to the one in the ASW, except only three racks (located in the two corners, and one at the top of the key) and four balls in each rack, including money balls, so 15 points at the max possible. Looking back, I should've probably taken off the cap I was wearing which made things a little harder, but I still managed to score 8 points, enough to win an authentic jersey. So yeah, great souvenir. :)

Nice. I did a similar thing with a few friends. Twelve balls, plus three money ball. I got nine points, but no jersey. :shifty:

the one in san antonio? you should check out Magic Mountain out here in Valencia. it's pretty sick if you like thrill rides. we got the best ones here.

Not too shabby Axel., congrats!

Thanks guys. It was a pretty fun experience. Watching a few other people do the shootout though was not pretty. Most of them airballed the corner threes, either too strong or too short, and sometimes they just hit the side of the backboard. Well, can't expect everyone to knock down a three as this isn't the NBA.

Thierry - They had Duncan and Parker jerseys up for grabs as well, but I already have a Duncan jersey and I've never liked Parker as much, and plus, my younger brother has a Parker jersey, so I thought Manu's jersey was the right one.

z02 - Pretty fun thing to do. I'm sure I could've had nine or 10 points had I been in full condition to play basketball. :P

Q - Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm one of the last people who'll line up for thrill rides. And yes, I went to the one in SA.

Andrew - A little shocking to me considering that I prefer to shoot 13-18 foot jumpshots, so the three-ball is a little out of my range. Have to step out every once in a while, though.

Axel., was the shot distance NBA 3pt range or college 3pt range?
