If I am right, the Heat will manhandle the Blazers tonight. Too bad for the Blazers that they have to play against the Heat at the worst timing. The Heat should be MAD and motivated from all those losses and negativity that followed.

Hoping to see some changes were made with this team with a few days of break.

Or the Heat could be disheartened and the Blazers pumped after their win against Orlando, which actually seems more likely. I still think the Heat will win though. It's just going to be realliy close and Aldridge is going to tear the whole damn thing up.

I don't think the Heat will crush the Blazers, I'm expecting a very competitive game. If the Heat will stay third and the Knicks stay 6th, can't wait for game #3 in MSG.

How is something that is common knowledge, strange?

Looked like chalmers had a good game on sunday. He easily outplayed miller and bibby. Anyone else see the panic in bibby's face when Rose checked back into the game? Lol

DId anybody else watch gametime after the game? I swear Chris Webber should get an award for what he said, which after watching in it's entirety boils down to this;

"MIAMI NEEDS TO SHUT UP AND PLAY"

I mean seriously, it doesn't matter what they do, ppl will talk about them, when the season started after just THE FIRST FUCKING GAME i had friend-tards come to me like "Oh now what?" "LeBron sucks!!" "Lakers are going to 3-peat." But when they started winning, it was "Ooh doesn't this just remind you of Jordan and Scottie?" And i know it's easier said than done but they have to realize all the talking doesn't matter, i mean they lost 5 games in a row, but so fuck what? Today's loss and the previous ones have nothing to do with Lakers on thursday so they should just hush, come out and let their game speak for them.

It's funny tho, all this not winning helps separate the fair-weather fans from real fans, i mean win or loose aren't you supposed to stick with your team? I don't even like Miami like that(Don't care for Wade or Bosh but i'm a little nicer to them now lol) but cuz of LeBron, but when the Cavs lost games, esp in the playoffs i had the same fb status update, "don't worry, we'll get it next season."
When T-Mac and the Rockets where losing to Utah back to back in the first round, i still stayed, but a team loses 5 games in a row and ppl are jumping ship? pls when the ship starts to float, we don't want your ass.
Stay the fuck away.

Rant over.

It's ok Zan, the Heat could lose every game and still make the playoffs in the East ;)

What's funny is you talking about "fair weather fans" but you go on to say you jumped ship from team to team following Lebron around.

From Wade's post-game interview, he felt displeased about James Jones and Eddie House stuck on the bench and said 'it's the coaches decision' or smtg similar that.

When trying to answer this question, the first thing that jumps out to me about the Heat as a team is that these guys dribble a lot.

Dribble charts show where and how much teams dribble in order to score, and the Heat have a big red area indicating that they dribble to score more than any other team. Miami’s Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all dribble to create their own shots, and they all do so in the lane.

It’s great to have guys who can break a defense down off the dribble, but the Big Three seems to need to do so. At this point, they haven’t shown the ability to work off each other consistently.

In the half-court, the Heat have the lowest rate of assisted layups in the league, and it isn’t close: Only 45 percent of their layups and dunks in the half court are assisted, while the next-worst team is at 54 percent and the league average is about 62 percent. The Celtics have 70 percent of their half-court layups assisted, and the Lakers 69 percent. Other than the Heat, the Bulls are the worst of the elite teams at 61 percent.

If the Miami stars drive to the middle, they are going to try to score or kick it to the perimeter -- the offense relies on rim attacks and 3-pointers by James Jones, Mario Chalmers, Mike Bibby, Eddie House and Mike Miller. It’s very difficult for defenses to simultaneously protect the rim and stop the 3. Coaches around the league struggle with how to give rules to their players to cover both.

Who has managed to do it? The Spurs and the Tom Thibodeau defenses, which are in place in Boston and Chicago. And they appear to shut down those options better than the Heat can create them.

...

So how can the Heat score against the best defenses?

How about a pick-and-roll, for cryin’ out loud! Go to the basket, guys!

Contrary to his complaints, Bosh shouldn’t need plays run for him in order to score. When the defense leaves him, he should go to the basket. When the defense leaves a perimeter player, he should go to a place where he is available and can score. That is not just the 3-point line, but also down the lane.

The Heat should be able to do this, as Wade and James do not have this problem in their history. In previous seasons, they have been able to find big men in the lane. Last season, James had 268 dimes to guys in the lane in the half-court; this season, just 79. Last season, Wade had 145 assists to guys in the lane in the half-court; this season, just 43.

How about a pick-and-roll with James setting the pick and then going to the basket? Give the ball-handlers an inside option that is moving. Those top defenses will have a harder time setting their big men at the top of the charge circle and just waiting. Then they'll actually have to worry about someone else who can score.

Huh.

Ah but i wasn't a fan of the Cavs, i was a fan of LeBron and the team he had around him, I have no connection to that city so i have no reason to like that team, the only team i support till the end of the world is the Knicks because i grew up there, i currently live in Minnesota but i have vowed to hate all Minnesota teams (especially the Vikings). So fan of LeBron? yes so by default i kinda have to like Miami

At first, that was my reaction, but then again i would rather have them iron out all their troubles now that get fucked in the playoffs.
