King James Embarrassed As Chara Excites![]()
JANUARY 6, CLEVELAND – Lebron James was booed off his home court after a lacklustre game in which he shot 3 for 16 from the field; including 1 for 13 from three point range. James finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists as his Cavs fell 116-96 in their NBA Finals rematch against the defending champion Sacramento Kings.
Raymond Felton and Rudy Gay each scored 19 points and Joakim Noah added 18. Despite these three players scoring close to 20 points each, James’ poor performance could not be overcome as key Cavs Byron Brock (8 points, 5 rebounds) and Mo Williams (4 points, 5 assists, 5 turnovers, 1-9 FG) struggled as well.
Moses Chara caused a ruckus as he jumped onto the scorers’ table at the end of the third quarter. With the Kings leading by 15 points, the 2013 League MVP was reacting to the crowd’s constant jeers for the night by shouting back insults and making obscene gestures. The NBA has since fined him $ 15, 000 for his actions. “I was just giving back what they were giving me,” Chara said disgustingly, “They’re all scum.”
Chara finished with a season high 44 points on 14 for 19 shooting from the field. He had a completely opposite night to his rival, James, as he hit 7 treys. Chara also added 5 rebounds and 6 assists to his total. Michael Redd added 18 points, Rashard Lewis scored 13 from off the bench and Al Jefferson outplayed Brock with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Kings scored 68 first half points before stalling in the third quarter. Led by Chara in the final quarter, the Kings dumped another 32 points on the Cavs in the last period. Chara hit three triples in that fourth quarter and thanked the Cavs crowd for it, “They were asking for it. It doesn’t take much to motivate me to shut them up.”
By the end of the night, the Cavs’ home crowd wasn’t exactly shut up as they booed and pelted rubbish at the home side as James led his team into the tunnel. James admitted later, “We played really bad. I played really bad. I know that I have to lead the guys a lot better.”
