I know I robbed the Warriors on this one, the thing is Ebanks got that 3 stars while Lin and Williams only got 1. I hope the patch can fix this kinds of trade.

I need Lin more than Williams

Trading for Lin is believable as the Lakers did seem interested in him before the season started IRL

Nice win by the celtics, did you get the game-winning shot with Kobe ? Pau Gasol is beasting those simmed games. Shaq had a solid game, I see he's still trying to find that fountain of youth .

January Reports: Part One

==================================================================================================

TEAM REPORTS

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking great. They still have the best record in the league with a 7 games lead over the Dallas Mavericks.

They had some problems earlier this month when veteran Derek Fisher suffers an injury and will be out for the rest of the season. The team also went on a three games losing streak against below .500 teams (Knicks, Cavaliers and Warriors).

Pau Gasol has been inconsistent this month and only averaged 15.5 PPG and 5.3 RPG but he did bounce back in the last three games of the Lakers. Steve Blake suffered a minor injury and that forces the Lakers to trade for Jeremy Lin and Reggie Williams. Williams is a good shooter and can also handle the ball while Lin is a rookie point guard but with good size and can be turn into a good combo guard.

The Lakers ended the month with a great win against the Boston Celtics, now they currently have an eight games winning streak.

Good win over the Cs. Your player stats pretty much resemble real life which is good. (maybe Pau could grab some more rebounds than 8)

Guys for the rebounding I think the RPG only represents Defensive Rebounds. So basically you will just add the ORPG and RPG. So Gasol had actually 8.5 Rebounds per game and Odom had 8.0

STORIES AROUND THE LEAGUE

Image

Gentry On His Way Out?
With Amare Stoudemire leaving, the Phoenix Suns obviously is a weaker team. But when you have guys like Steve Nash and Grant Hill leading they can still be a competitive team. The head coach should be the one who motivates his team but coach Alvin Gentry isn't doing that in fact he was actively arguing with his players during games. He publicly said that he gave up on his team and it's only a matter of time for him to also leave Phoenix.

Vinny No Control Over Players
The LA Clippers are struggling again this season and head coach Vinny Del Negro takes all the blame. He insist on starting rookie Al-Farouq Aminu and Randy Foye. Both players are struggling and role players like Ryan Gomes and Rasual Butler ain't getting their minutes. It looks like Vinny will leave the team in just his first year of coaching.

Too Much Expectation
Last year the Oklahoma City Thunder gave the LA Lakers a fight in the playoffs and for that many expects them to be at least a top four in the West. But the Thunder now is currently on the 10th spot with a 22-25 record losing 7 straight games. The Thunder defense greatly decrease compared to their top caliber defense last year. It's still a long way before the playoffs come but securing a spot is not easy especially on the Western Conference.

Pistons Shake Things Up
The Detroit Pistons finally let go of Rip Hamilton. They traded Hamilton and 2011 2nd round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for forward Jeff Pendergraph, 2011 2nd round pick and 2012 1st round pick.

After that trade the Pistons gave Ben Wallace and Will Bynum to the San Antonio Spurs for Antonio McDyess and James Anderson.
