How about the Lakers, they are falling in the West. They might missed the playoffs in this story. It would be great to see who will be the next "man" after Kobe left. I doubt anybody would like this idea though

The Lakers suck and don't have anyone who would be their star player unfortunately. They've never been a top team in this story either so I don't actually find them that interesting... Any other suggestions?

Nice Boobie Gibson article. It is very believable after Lebanon forgetting Boobie when he went to Cheat IRL.

That is a possibility... I'm worried you will all hate me cause D Rose isn't a standout baller on that team lol Actually, I think that Stephen Jackson is their leading scorer...

Cheers for the numbers. (Y)

Those numbers look a lot more like real B.Roy numbers, I'm happy that your game has him back to his old self (2008 Roy).

Also, loved the Woody Hannes article, spectacular writing. :D

Chapter 28

Sit stormed into the office. His secretary looked up and knew not to bother him. He hid behind her computer monitor.
“Get me a coffee damn it!” he yelled out before disappearing into his room.
She jolted up and quickly went out the back to make him a mocha. She rushed in with his drink and found him shouting into his phone.
“Damn it Billy! We had a fucking deal!”
She put the drink down on his desk and ran out of there.
“Don’t tell me that shit! I was ready to do the deal! What the hell is wrong with you?” Sit was bellowing.
King replied, “We had a shot at Chris Bosh. How could I say no?”
“You made a deal with me!”
“A better one came up.”
Sit hung up then threw his phone at the wall. It wasn’t a phone anymore – not a working one at least. Sit grabbed the coffee.
“Ah! FUCK!”
He ran out of there looking for some cold water.
“Why the fuck is it hot!” he sprinted past his secretary as she burst into tears.
After swigging down a glass of ice cold water, he came out of the kitchen and asked her in an unpleasant tone, “Nothing is working out for me around here!”
She was still crying and he slammed his clenched fists on the top of her desk, “Stop crying bitch!”

Ty was stretching on the side of the court as the rest of his teammates practiced. His sprained ankle was flaring up and Coach Karl told him to sit out. Sheed shuffled next to him and threw a towel right in his face.
“Soft!”
Ty laughed and threw it back at him, “You’re old and busted.”
Sheed walked off to the side and was shouting, "Yo! Where's Adam?"
Ty looked at his phone and saw that it was time to go home. The team had stopped the scrimmage and Ty got up to walk towards the exit of the gym. Near the door was a small group of journalists waiting.
“Ty!” one of them called out.
He looked over and recognised her so he waved, “Hi.”
“How are you feeling?” she asked.
Ty knew it wasn’t about his ankle, “As good as I can be I guess.”
Everyone converged around him. Durant and the others walked past and out of the gym. He heard Durant snort at him before telling everyone that Ty was an ‘attention seeking whore’.
“What do you think about the New Jersey trade?”
Ty didn’t hesitate to make his position clear, “It’s disappointing because I thought I would be out of this place by now. To see Chris Bosh go to New Jersey only makes me feel like I was so close to going to a new team.”
“How do you feel about any other potential moves?”
“I won’t lie,” Ty said, “I’m checking all the rumours out each day. There’s new ones popping up. I feel like the team is trying to shop me around and they should because I have been requesting for a deal to be done for so long.”
“Any truth to the New York Knicks rumours?”
“I hope so,” Ty admitted.
“What do you think about playing for Seattle?”
“Just because I am not happy to be here does not mean I’m going to play any less harder,” Ty explained, “I am a professional first and foremost. I am also a winner. I play to win.”
Sit was only a few steps away and loved that last line. There was still hope yet to keep Ty around.

Magic was waiting in Sit’s office.
“Magic, what up man?”
Magic looked behind him and gave him a two finger salute, “Sit.”
Sit walked around his desk and took his seat, “What brings you here today?”
“I wanted to listen to what’s happening with the Tyson trade.”
“Well,” Sit stated, “After the Nets backed out, there’s really been nothing.”
“What about the Knicks?”
“It’s a good offer but I think that we’re better off having Ty stay.”
Magic argued, “He doesn’t want to be here. We can’t have someone like that on the team. I think Kevin can win without Tyson.”
Sit disagreed, “I think that Ty is a lot better than you think he is.”
“He’s only what he is because of Kevin. Tyson could never be the sole go-to-guy.”
“No way.”
“What do you see in him Sit?” Magic asked.
“He’s a special player,” Sit stated boldly, “Just like Kevin Durant. You don’t break up two special players.”
“Oh, even when one asks to leave?” Magic prodded further.
“Yes.”
Magic didn’t say anything for a little while then had one more question, “I know that you are a Lakers fan. Don’t forget what happened there?”
“I’m trying to make sure it doesn’t.”
Magic had a somewhat fake laugh, “It’s already happening.”
The phone rang and Sit picked up. It was David Stern’s office. The colour of his face was suddenly flushed out. He put the phone down and looked up at Magic.
“Something worse than that is happening.”
Magic had no idea what Sit was talking about.
Sit jumped out of his chair and put on his suit jacket, “Shit just got real.”

* * *

Sit and Magic both arrived at the NBA’s headquarters in New York the following afternoon. Sit had received a fax about the agenda of the meeting with David Stern and a few of his league’s heavies. Sit briefed Magic who nearly fainted when he heard the news.
“There is a lot of work we need to do to recover from this,” Magic whispered to Sit as they waited outside the room of the meeting.
Sit nodded, “You don’t say.”
“Mr Stern is ready to see you now.”
Sit looked up at the young intern, “Thanks.”
She walked away and Magic and Sit walked into the room.
“Take a seat gentlemen,” Stern directed, “Magic, how are you? I have not seen you in a while.”
“I’m good David,” Magic smiled.
“I trust that Mr Sit has brought you up to speed,” Stern motioned towards Sit.
Magic nodded and Stern continued, “Now, the reason why we are having a meeting today is about what we will do about a certain individual from your team. As you know, one of the players was arrested a little while ago. Well, I have just received word that charges will be laid and he will be needed to appear in court.”
Sit and Magic kept nodding.
“I have been informed that this player has already admitted to all charges involved with drugs. As you know, we have to take a strong stance against drug use so these actions are in violation of this league’s code of conduct.”
Sit asked him, “What are you going to do about him then?”
“Let me get to that,” Stern said, “I think that once this gets out in the mainstream media, it will put our league into disrepute. This is a bad look for our league.”
“How’d you keep this under the rug for so long,” Sit joked.
Stern shot him an icy glare, “This isn’t a joke.”
Sit put both hands in the air, “I’m sorry.”
Stern told them, “There’s nothing I can do but say that this player’s NBA career is over. He will be deregistered and he will be banned from this league for the rest of his life. I cannot do anything about it and it is a shame for me to do so.”

Sit is so mean to his assistant! Shit really did get real though.

Ty wouldn't talk like that to journalists in real life though, without getting fined constantly by the team. Wouldn't really call his handling of the situation professional.
