I wonder if it's Win or GTFO for Erik Spoelstra tonight against Boston.

He'll be fired either on Christmas or the All-star break. It's a league tradition!

Yeah, love the decision to go to Eddie House for last shot the other day. Spoelstra's time is going to get shorter if they continue to play like they are now.

Looks like Spo will join the jobless 10% tomorrow.

Spo's gone. I mean how can you lose a game if your best player gives you a whopping 0/0/0/0/0?

I didn't expect the Heat to start season fast but 5-4? That is disappointing.

The Heat lost, but the Lakers lost too, so it wasn't all bad. :)

Not his fault since Spo only gave him 8 minutes while Spo's man-crush on Haslem continues as he was given 30+ mins. of playing time.
What can you expect from your superstar if you only give him 8 fucking minutes!?

Didn't catch the game but who was guarding Ray Allen most of the game? I wouldn't be surprised if it's Wa_e, resulting in Jesus getting his 35.

Dunno. Don't recall anyone being in his general vicinity enough to be considered to be guarding him.

go inside and watch the Utah v. Atlanta game from the comfy couch, or stay outside in the cold studio and listen to game via NBA audio while working on stuff?

i elected the latter, only because i can't stand looking at Kirilenko's haircut

Kind of suits the throwback feel of the new jerseys though.

Andre Miller - 622 consecutive games played!

EDIT -- Listening to the ESPN Spanish commentary; the analysts commented on Westbrook and Derrick Rose being on the same level as Kidd, Nash, Deron Williams, Paul. There's my debate kicker :)

EDIT 2 -- Kevin Love against the Knicks, with 3 minutes left in the game: 28 points and 31 rebounds

31 and 31 is just stupid. Maybe I would expect Dwight to get it, but Kevin Love, Damn.

The last player to get close: http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 30DAL.html

Close, but not over either of the arbitrary 30 barriers: http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 40ATL.html

Older, but also fun: http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 20CHI.html

he already averages a double double in 26-28 mins. why he only gets that many minutes is beyond me. i guess rambis feels that koufos & pekovic are immense talents that shouldn't be wasted on the bench. imagine what love could do if he consitently got 35-40 mins per game.

and holy crap dikembe raped the twolves in that game. he didn't miss in 11 tries, almost got 30 & 30 and blocked 6 shots

That's always the question. More minutes mean being more exhausted. Especially big guys who hustle under the basket and need to get back on defense can have problems with that. So always doubt the "more minutes, better stats" thesis.
