Maybe because he's not one? I've always thought that he just does everything he does a little bit better than average.
He is no T-Mac in his prime nor a Carmelo Anthony kind of guy but at least he should deliver at clutch moments. I have watched the last minute of the Hawks and Magic game and it was awful for Atlanta.
On the other hand the Mavericks beat Boston

Dirk scoring the last 7 points but having 4 turnover is

Fair enough.

did anyone see how the mavs ran away from rondo like he had the black plague? they left him wide open for the 3

Did anyone notice players looking less intesifying now that new rule is implemented? And also game looking less fun without much dramas and highlights on celebrating/complaining.

MILLSAP!!!

Pacers went 20/21 FGs which resulted in 54 points.
Just in the third quarter alone.
Holy cow.
They won by 30+ against Denver. Pacers ended up having 140+ pts.
If this was 2K, Jim O'Brien just spammed the team practice drills with shooting.

Jazz/Heat turned out to be a great game with the unlikely comeback at the end of regulation to force the overtime. Tremendous heart shown by the Jazz, even when the Heat started to take control early in OT they didn't quit.

Paul Millsap can compete in the 3 point shootout with Dirk.

Great game for Millsap..

I was like WTF when I saw the boxscore and the game recap. I didn't even think that it was possible for a team to score 54 points in a quarter, let alone shooting 20/21 from the field.

McRoberts should not have attempted that three in the end, 20-20 FG in a quarter, that's a record I think?

7-0 start for the Hornets. Of course, they will fall at some point, but I really love this start for them
Okafor shooting .727% from the field

Hornets are going 80-2 this season, with their only losses coming to the hands of the Knicks.
On a serious note, great start for the Lakers and Hornets, Lakers are looking like they are headed to 65+ win season, knowing that many people think Miami is the best team in the NBA they are playing with a chip on their shoulders.
I predicted the Knicks will go 44-38 this season. They look like they are headed to another 30ish win season. Inconsistency is killing them, along with bad shots and bad defense. I guess nothing has changed.

Sap was amazing last night! 46 points including 3 threes! I didn't even know Sap could shoot 3s! Crazy match.

Hornets bench (and starters for that matter) are the best they've had in years. possibly even better than their crazy 07/08 run or whatever year that was. Ariza plays the defense Peja never played and doesn't have back problems. his 3pt shooting is more erratic, but belinelli also shoots 3s and is an upgrade over mo pete. Pargo was a big spark off the bench but that's pretty much all they had back then besides rasual butler and now they finally have a decent big man in jason smith
Thu Nov 11, 2010 11:42 am
Bellinelli's pretty good -I'm really impressed with the way he's been playing.
Who saw his big dunk the other day?

Big question mark there.

Yao's down once again. Sad. I love that giant asian.

Dirk is down. Not good.

Holy shit! You scared me there for a second or two. He returned though, so that's good.

What's up with all the good big men going down today? Hope Yao's OK.
But really, all I care about is THE BOBCATS WON!

well compared to hilton armstrong, darius singaila, ike diogu, aaron gray, etc. smith is a welcome addition. he's like a mini West, a big man that hits the mid range pretty well. gives them more continuity. it was a drag before when West & CP3 had to sit. now it's not as big of a drop-off between the starters and bench

Yeah, it's good but his shooting is like Rondo right now. That's good right?
Thu Nov 11, 2010 1:04 pm
It really doesn't matter how Dirk shoots right now, cuz the Mavs are up by like 25.

Second straight game for Utah, coming back from down 20(+?) in the second half to win in Florida.

Watching footage of Dwight Howard knocking down threes in practice during the Jazz/Magic game today, seems he's got a better shooting touch than one would expect. Shame it doesn't carry over to his free throws during actual games, though.

18 point deficit today, so close enough. Two impressive wins in back to back games for Utah, both the Heat and the Magic seemed to go to sleep while the Jazz just kept fighting. Unfortunately for me, their heart and determination cost me two days in a row in the daily predictions thread.
Seems his time with Olajuwon is paying off for Howard. He's never going to rival The Dream in his footwork or his arsenal but it's good to see him making some nice moves down low and developing new weapons. If only he could knock down his free throws.

Beasley with 42 points in the win.

Just saw the Bucks @ Hawks game. You would think it's only a D-League game with the size of the crowd. It's not just because of the broadcast view but in replays where the view would pan out you could see that there is really no people on the upper part of the stadium.
