General game-day thoughts/comments

Blake Griffin does some nasty ass dunks. So much explosiveness off the ground & in the air. Don't know which former player I'd compare him to since he's got some uniqueness to his game.

Jon Barry compared him to Shawn Kemp the other day.

You have to wait for another season. As the last 22 years have shown, you have to wait 7 years before a perimeter player can be DPoY.

When it happens it will be Gerald Wallace!!!

What makes the DPoY a joke of an award (like most handed out by the media) is that Tim Duncan never won it.

I agree with you but not necessarily on the Duncan part. It's a freaking popularity contest just like most other awards (like MVP) and it's ridiculous they gave it to Ben Wallace so many times because they didn't know who these other guys were and they seem to emphasize big men. What's crazy is that Gerald Wallace, Shawn Marion, or Andrei Kirilenko never won it despite all 3 of them outshining Wallace statistically (in my opinion) in the 05-06 season.

It's a possibility, he is with the Clippers. Anything can go wrong with the Clippers.

Awful second quarter for the Bulls, bench couldn't buy a basket which of course led to a double digit deficit.

Loving Toney Douglas so far this game. Playing great, the Knicks really need to stop turning the ball over!

Much better effort by the Bulls in the third, a couple of sloppy passes aside, but Douglas is just on fire for the Knicks.

Knicks are playing like shit now. Doobie should be nervous.

Still up by ten though and Douglas' shooting has killed more than a couple of Bulls runs so far.

I am nervous since the Knicks are prone to blow leads.

Just like that, they're in control again. Somebody inform James Johnson that he is not a star, then get him off the floor as quickly as possible.

On a Bulls note, their offense has looked stale whenever Rose isn't on the floor. Has this been a problem through their first 4 games?

Incredible shooting from beyond the arc given they came into the game shooting 29% from downtown as a team. Still just under six to go but unless they go ice cold and the Bulls can, you know, make some shots, looks like they'll hang on to the lead.

I'd say that'll do it. Someone also inform CJ Watson that he isn't a star either.

Great game right now. Bad for my blood pressure.

Bringing in Ibaka for Krstic in the second half really was a great move.

I give up. Portland just needs to rebuild. This is as good as the team's roster will get, and they can't even beat a mediocre team with no frontcourt AT HOME.

They already started rebuilding during the draft by firing GM.
