Valor = Bob Whitsitt (Blazers GM from way back notorious for trading half his team every summer)
Sit = Sam Presti (fitting, since he controls the same team. Builds through draft, while wisely adding pieces around his young stars)
Myself = Mitch Kupchak (Above average GM with an unfair advantage over others. I control all 30 teams and player ratings, Kupchak has the Lakers' resources)
hova- = David Kahn (traded Diaw for like Eddy Curry IIRC, and his teams are always losing)
The X = Kevin Pritchard (gradually builds with sensible trades, the draft and free agency)

I would say I GM sort like Riley. I don't mind enduring some atrocious years (read: Miami between Shaq's departure and this offseason) for the chance at something spectacular. Sort of an all my eggs in one basket approach. I also like to horde cap room in accordance with when my star player(s) is/are coming off the books, ensuring that I can either re-sign the player and still have room to upgrade the roster, sign a similar player who I don't have Bird Rights on, or bite the bullet and suck but keep mountains of cap space to try again next summer(or in a trade, or what have you). But it does depend on the team I'm controlling. If I pick a shitty team with lots of bad contracts, I'm moving as many as I can for picks and young players, generally.

The hova-kahn comparison is just unfair.

I like the comparison Lamrock

What's both of their scoring averages like? I see you followed Sean Marks around the league, from Hornets to the Wizards

Wow, David Kahn. That's pretty horrible. I still found the Diaw trade quite okay. He has an overpaid contract (longer than Curry's, which could have been a trade chip for the next season) and just did not fit into my system.
I had some pretty good trades in my dynasties. I would rather see myself as Joe Dumars. Bad decisions and wise decisions take turns.
My problem is that I never had a Dynasty running long enough to really see how the trades work out. (my Knicks one for example ... drafted Rudy Gay, got rid of Steve Francis and had David Lee becoming a star: Marbury - Crawford - Eddie Jones - David Lee - Eddy Curry // Rudy Gay - Bobby Jackson - Channing Frye - Quentin Richardson - Nate Robinson ... that was a solid roster four years ago, when I look at it now ... it simply sucks

)
Oh and I usually don't pull the trigger on trades very often. Did not even make one trade in my Knicks Dynasty's 1st season if I remember correctly. (edit: Okay I did, acquired Keith Van Horn's expiring 15M for Jalen Rose <-- decent move to clear cap space

)

Heisley's an owner, not a GM.

Perfect. Thierry may not be Heisley but he is a Saudi oil baron who keeps buying and selling teams as he wishes because he's loaded.

Lol, that one's nice. I wish I was loaded like an Saudi oil baron or in fact, any Russian, lately.

Don't talk about Russians, just continue to crash dynasties.
I've started association with GSW (last official roster from 2k sports). Monta and Steph rulez (Monta 36+10 ast, Curry 20+8 ast+3stl and winning shot last game). Thinking about trading good big man to my team.

That's like half of your playing rotation.

And a quarter of the roster.

Anyways, I'm keen for a Bobcats story. Kwame, D-Miles, Livingston.

You should do it in 2K11 if you retire ALIB III

What would you call it?

I don't know if I should do Bobcats. Only with The X's blessing since he made them relevant.

As for a title... would be something like Sit's Charlotte Bobcats

You should somehow come up with another trilogy story, if time allows - so get a better name dammit!

SCB (Sits crappy bitches) (Sits Charlotte Bobcats)
See how it makes sense.
Fri Oct 01, 2010 3:08 pm
No more trilogies

Whatever I do for 2k11, a continuation of 'Saur Losers or otherwise, will likely be my last story if I don't Thierry it. Hard to imagine having time for a story when I go to college.
For that reason, gotta make something epic!

You don't need my blessing. The Bobcats now are different to the Bobcats 5 or 6 years back. Completely different. It's not like you're going to be starting Primo Brezec, Emeka Okafor, Gerald Wallace, Keith Bogans & Brevin Knight on opening night. Heck, I even gave Bernard bloomin' Robinson a couple of starts if I recall correctly. Melvin Ely was a key player for my "success"
