lol, do you even watch the NBA anymore? Hard to decide which K-Mart's better, but Kevin Martin is a beast, and don't even get me started on his jumpshot.

Lol, I knew Axel was going to go berserk about this.

Of course, the Rockets have some of the most underrated players, and it just annoys me when somebody underappreciates them.
Wed Sep 29, 2010 6:50 am
Kind of like me when people discount Gerald Wallace, Stephen Jackson, Jason Richardson, Steve Nash, Goran Dragic, etc. ?
Wed Sep 29, 2010 7:08 am
Well, Steve Nash isn't underrated, but the others that you mentioned are absolute beasts, especially G-Wall.

Underrated when you put guys like Tony Parker above him.
Wed Sep 29, 2010 7:28 am
Now who the hell puts Tony Parker above him? Guy can't even shoot as consistently as Nash to begin with.
Wed Sep 29, 2010 7:30 am
Go look at the NBA section. There's a thread with the TOP 50 players. Tony Parker's at 15 or something and Nash is at 22. If you ask me, Nash is in the top 10, above Deron Williams, just below Chris Paul.

Just read it. When benji says that's horrible, then it's horrible. benji's probably the most knowledgeable person at the NLSC. Anyways, that list is just utter rubish.

If Kevin Martin is underrated, what about Caron Butler?
Wed Sep 29, 2010 9:22 am
Houndy, I believe he's underrated too. I am a slight Mavs fan, because of Dirk, and because Steve Nash used to be there. Although my Bobcats got ripped off in the Tyson Chandler trade was really pissed me off.
Wed Sep 29, 2010 9:25 am
Bobcats got shit. Matt Carroll and some other guy... Carroll was good though with the the Cats.
Wed Sep 29, 2010 9:28 am
No he wasn't. He played one good season here, but eventually he was traded because he wasn't good enough for a 35-win team.
As for Eduardo Najera, GTFO. We already have a good-rebounding defensive SF in Gerald Wallace. The only problem, he can't do shit except for defend and rebound. Really. Expect Najera to get waived or traded. I hope he does.
We shouldn't have waived Dampier. Trading him would have been a better option. Now that Kwame's out with an injury, we're stuck with Nazr Mohammed and Desagana Diop. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I want His Dampness back.
900th post!

Yeah, though I missed "The Decision".

After tanking a season or two with the Bobcats on purpose, I drafted the best rookie ever to be drafted at #16!
Mats Dvorak (C/PF) 7'2 260 lb 21 years old from Michigan State. projected Top 10 pick.
Scouting report:
Potential: Good
Strengths:
A monster on the boards.
Great inside game.
Plays tremendous D.
Weaknesses:
Could improve his shooting
A front-runner to miss 60 games
Erratic passer
Turns out he was the highest rated player in the whole draft by six points. He had an 89 overall rating - two points less than what Dwight Howard has after eight years of experience! Dvorak went on to take the Bobcats along with LeBron James (picked up in the offseason along with Steve Nash) to NBA Finals after a 66-20 season (86 games glitch) and we beat the Lakers 4-2 in the finals. He would win rookie of the year, most improved player the next year, when he jumped from 89 to 94 in his sophomore season. He won 3 MVP awards, 5 rings, and an overall rating of 98 at his prime over the course of his 17 year reign in the NBA.
In one season, I switched him to play a point guard role (he had court vision, speed, some passing skills, great ball-handling) (Keep in mind, this guy's 7'2" 260lb!) He averaged a monstrous triple double of 26.5 points, 10.5 assists, and 17.5 rebounds. He averaged a 20-20 on points and rebounds once as well - I believe it was the season right after this one when I put him back in his usual C role.
Things that can happen when you play games that came out eight years ago!

Here's my chicago bulls team that i built around Carmelo Anthony
Freestyle superstars with ratings
Roy Hibbert-93 inside scorer and inside stopper
Jeff Green-99 Inside scorer shooter
Carmelo Anthony-99 Highflyer, inside scorer, outside scorer, power player, shooter and outside stopper
Eric Gordon-99 Highflyer, outside scorer, shooter and outside stopper
Stephen Curry-97 Outside scorer, playmaker, shooter and outside stopper
Martell Webster-99 Outside scorer, shooter and outside stopper
Jonny Flynn-97 Outside scorer, playmaker, shooter and outside stopper
M.Leon-Didn't look at his rating but he's a computer generated player and he's an inside scorer, outside scorer and a shooter
I'm still working on Carmelo Anthony even though he's at least 30 now, because i want him to become and inside stopper, both of his offensive rebounding stat is 73 and his defensive rebounding stat is 98, his shot blocking stat is his lowest defensive skill so i have to boost that skill. Maybe i'll get a big man coach in the offseason so Anthony can learn shot blocking.
I guess when Carmelo became a power player, (which i've never turned a small forward into one only centers) is when i trained him in defense constantly. I love training players more than any other part of the game, and my favorite training is to train players in defense skills, especially when they're weak in them. I'd even assign a coach who has the defensive specialty, to a center so that center can have great outside defense, in other words one who can steal. I also like increasing the inside scoring stat of gaurds, especially shooting gaurds so my shooting gaurd can be a slasher, although for that dunking would have to improve as well i think. And one last thing, i like my small forwards to be all around defenders and that's why i've been training Carmelo Anthony so hard in defense as well as because he's my favorite small forward to train in defense because of his low defensive skills.

Well, then you didn't miss much, as I didn't even bother watching it.

What's LeBron's rating, 149? If Martell Webster, Eric Gordon, and Jeff Green can make it to 99, then Carmelo Anthony should be at least 130.
Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:05 am
130 lol, as for the answer to your question, Lebron is 99 and he hasn't started declining yet.
Fri Oct 01, 2010 12:38 pm
Lebron always gets 97 or 98 in my dynasties (though I don't play him.) But 99? That's crazy!
Sat Oct 02, 2010 4:38 am
Honestly, that's not all that crazy. In 5 years, he may be The Greatest and earn that 99.
Sat Oct 02, 2010 8:45 am
Jeff Green, Eric Gordon and Martell Webster are all in the mid to late 20's, i think Gordon is now 27 i forgot the ages of the other two players. I simulate all my games because it would be boring winning all the time, but even with simulation, especially in the past 2 years i've won at least 70 games and went to the finals the last 2 years, i won one of them. Webster comes off the bench behind Carmelo so he doesn't get to showcase his skills as much as he could, but he plays well off the bench, Jeff green has good defense skills, i know that both defensive stats, stealing and blocking are at least 70 and Gordon, well Gordon is Gordon, he's a rich man's Ben gordon, scoring double digits a game and playing defense sometimes. They're playing like they're rated, in other words, their rating is already showing in their game. Especially Eric Gordon, Jeff green doesn't get a chance to shoot the ball because of all the other scorers on the starting five.

Was playing Live 08 last night. Guess Kobe beat him to that 99. Lebron's still at 98, while KG dropped to 95.

Down to 95? In 2008 KG should have been around 91-94 range. No more.
