Ultranix's 90's euro legends have been part of the mod, but I would like to update the jerseys. What I'm planning to do is give each player the euro home/away jersey they're most famous for. either from the euro pro team or national team they've been on. problem is, I've never followed european basketball, so i'm not sure what jersey should each player wear. I know the nba teams some of the players played for..,but that would be too easy :P So if anyone has any suggestions on jerseys and photo references..that would be great.

If you would like to contribute some jerseys for credit..I'd appreciate it. 512x512 buni with the numbers on the front and back.

11 C +Arvydas Sabonis
14 PF+Dino Radja
07 SF+Tony Kukoc
13 SG+Sarunas Marciulionis
04 PG+Drazen Petrovic

Bench:
12 C +Vlade Divac
08 PF+Alexander Volkov
-- SF+Detlef Schrempf
06 SG Nikos Galis
05 PG Panagiotis Giannakis
C Rik Smits
Rimas Kurtinaitis

* Also...what retro arena seems appropriate for this team...

I didn't have alot of reference pix, just blurry youtube video and jerseys tops for sale on ebay. I could't even find the home jerseys or how the shorts look. Help me out euro dudes.. :D i have more than 10 players to go. Each player on the 90's euro stars will have their own home/away jerseys..
My strength isn't jersey making, so be kind lol

a retro european arena that the mids 80's or early 90's , i cant think of any that might be harder to find to make then some the the 60's lakers and phil and hawks teams....

By the way i was missing around with the videos on the disc to maybe get a more classic feel and seems like there is a legends video , i put it on youtube . Looks like live wanted to put more focus on the legend but didnt.

Maybe we can recruit some to make classic nba intro video???

badger,
where did all the eurobasket championships take place back in the day? Screenshot then maybe i can do something
..and you know where i can get pix of the jerseys of these guys? club or national team no matter. I think i have enough reference pix for the 2 greek players. the rest I'm not so sure. back then it looked like they wore addidas jerseys with just the country's patch on there.

I'm trying to start it off myself... here goes nothing lol
early stages, i know i forget the shorts numbers..

as far as who the starting 5 should be..I have no idea. The creator is ultranix and he suggested the starters.

Galis going one on one vs. Petrovic..

I propose one of McDonald's Championship arenas. I think the best would be:
 Madrid 1988 - Boston Celtics played there against Yugoslawia and Real Madrid. Of course Drazen Petrovic played at that time for Real Madrid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jjdv-qBN ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwGJsuUX ... re=related

Image
or
 Barcelona 1990 - New york Knicks won in overtime with Pop 84 Split, (Kukoc blocks on Ewing  )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkH0FWSs ... re=related

Both courts are similiar to this from Barcelona Olimpics, only logo center court is hard to find on the net.
Maybe my proposition isn't very good, but i don't have any other idea

i remember Volkov of the Hawks in the 80's i beleive. The 2 middle dudes are Greek legends and the last dude was in the only non NBA player inthe 3point contest during the 89 allstar game.

If its the same arena the 92 olympic games were played in , it would be smart. since I plan on making that arena for the dream team. All i would have to is re-work some of the art...

Yes, it is the same arena: "The Palau Sant Jordi". I checked it few minutes ago :)

Here are some informations:

 about McDonald's Open:
www.gettyimages.com
"BARCELONA, SPAIN - OCTOBER 13: Patrick Ewing #33 of the New York Knicks slaps hands with teammate Mark Jackson #13 against Pop 84 during the 1990 McDonald's Open played at the Palau Sant Jordi on October 13, 1990 in Barcelona, Spain..."

 about Olympics '92
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palau_Sant_Jordi
"The Palau Sant Jordi was one of the main venues of the 1992 Summer Olympics..."

my suggestions, as i've followed European basketball pretty much.

11 C Arvydas Sabonis - 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)/92 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)/96 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze). I might find reference pics of those. As for clubs - You'd either have Zalgiris, where he played until 89, or Real Madrid 95 (Euroleague Champion).
14 PF Dino Radja - 90 Jugoplastika (Euroleague Champion)/88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/92 Croatia (Olympic Silver)
07 SF Tony Kukoc - 90 Jugoplastika (Euroleague Champion)/88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/92 Croatia (Olympic Silver)
13 SG Sarunas Marciulionis - 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)/92 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)/96 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze).
04 PG Drazen Petrovic - I'd pick 86 Cibona (Euroleague Champion)/88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/92 Croatia (Olympic Silver)

Bench:
12 C Vlade Divac - 88 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)/95 Yugoslavia (EUrobasket Gold)/96 Yugoslavia (Olympic Silver)
08 PF Alexander Volkov - 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)
-- SF Detlef Schrempf - played his college game in USA, so the only appearance in European/World tournaments - 92 Germany.
06 SG Nikos Galis - 87 Greece (Eurobasket Gold)/Aris Thessaloniki
05 PG Panagiotis Giannakis - 87 Greece (Eurobasket Gold)
C Rik Smits - 86 Holland (Netherlands) (played in World Championships in Spain)
Rimas Kurtinaitis - 80's Zalgiris/ 88 USSR Team (Olympic Gold)/92 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)/96 Lithuania Team (Olympic Bronze)

after this i was thinking the 12 "international allstar legends " since I grew up In the US..only name that stood out during the 80's was Oscar Schmidt from Brazil. So i'll probably need more suggestions..

ultranix,..Did these Euroleage Club teams only have one jersey during that time? I rarey see any white"home " jerseys from my research.
