Speculation of Tuesdays Announcement?

Big Announcement Tues what are your thoughts on what it might be?

Revamped Dynasty Mode. Alright, that's just wishful thinking.

I'm guessing it'll be full details on the expanded ESPN Integration.

They're replacing all the dunks with slow-motion cutscenes.

No I dont think it has to do with any of the modes that they already have, if it was an announcement like that they would just announce it with no hype at all.

I think it is going to be a new mode incorportated in game, something similar to Dynamic Season mode or something along those lines that will be one of the main features of the game.

If that's the case, it might be about the return of Be a Pro (which has not yet officially been announced) and its fleshing out to a full mode similar to My Player in NBA 2K.

It's always good to dream big. I have my hopes up too. But really it's probably just Be A Pro mode, as you mentioned and others have too. I am pretty excited on having this mode, so if it's one or the other, it's a win-win situation.

Be A Pro, which will be just like FIFA '10 where you can use your created player in any game mode to help boost their attributes & unlock stuff.

Yeah, I like the Be A Pro mode in FIFA 10, I need to get back to playing it though. Can't wait 'til Tuesday's announcement though.

Yeah something like be a pro but they wont call it that they will call it something else becasue they had be a pro mode 2 years ago where you were just the 1 player in a play now game.

it might be like 2k last year where they created that draft combine game and you could integrate it into the game when it comes out.

Something where you could use something before nba elite 11 definitly cause they still have 2 months till the game comes out so early announcement means something is coming early.

I think there's a good chance there'll stick with the Be a Pro branding (that's the name that was used in the leak as well) as its original incarnation was supposed to be a taste of things to come and the last gen version was actually a bit more in-depth, presumably to make up for things they couldn't include in that version. There's no reason they can't still use that name if they bring back the concept and flesh it out, my guess is that was their intention after NBA Live 09 but NBA Live 10 didn't give enough attention to game modes (indeed dropping a lot of them).

True I mean I just thought of it this way, maybe they knew Be a Pro mode was a small feature of what could come in the future of 09, and they wanted to work on it for two years so they put Adidas Live Run into the game instead, and sort of took Be a Pro mode out of the game without anyone knowing, because it really was not a big hit in 09, well for me it wasnt. To be honest I didn't like the mode at all very much, it was just for a single play mode basically. you could do that with Player Lock mode in 10 now idk if they changed the name to that or if they had it in 09 I dont remember. But this could've been a cover up and they just wanted to spend 2 years working on it to make it perfect and I feel like they needed another mode in there so they created Adidas Live Run. Or maybe they had plans for Adidas Live Run already and created "Fantasy Teams" for its spot, a short quick small idea that was pretty effective in this years game. I dont know the possibilities are endless I just can't wait for Tuesday, any idea what time during the day?

Maybe, but I think adidas Live Run as always intended to be an expansion/spinoff of Online Team Play that avoided arguments over who got to control the star players and whatnot. Be a Pro in its previous incarnation was definitely limited, most likely intended as a preview of things to come in future games. They did the same thing the previous year by including eight FIBA teams in NBA Live 08 then expanding to 24 in NBA Live 09. On one hand it's a good approach as it's a little something extra and sets the groundwork for future features, but then it also attracts criticism for not being fully fleshed out, so it's not going to go over well with everyone.

I hate playing on Player Lock in Live 10. The CPU on the opposing team seems to make every shot, while my teammates miss every shot. Also, my teammates shoot without me telling them to.

Isn't that how it works in real life?

Basically this is not going to make everyone happy, but nothings perfect. For me personally, I hope it is a new mode that is always fun and always keep you wanting to play it and always wanting to do more with it.

I was also thinking maybe its something with USA Basketball, USA Basketball has been getting quite popular the last few years and maybe they could add USA Basketball and FIBA Basketball integration into Dynasty mode, maybe as an off-season thing. Like if you have an allstar on your team you could control him to try out for the USA team and stuff and this could really increase his ratings for the following season, same with your younger players but with summer league. They could play in the summer league your newly drafted rookies and young guns to get better that way.

This is all just a bunch of what if's and they got us all in one big question lol. I like it.

You know what I would really want it to be? Adding NCAA teams like NHL

First off I think they are going to announce the Be A Pro Mode on Tuesday it makes alot of sense. Also they should really bring back All-Star Weekend as a single game mode and have it reincorporated into Dynasty and Season Mode. To be honest Dynesty mode was pretty dull without it and it wouldn't hurt to get some D-League in there but I can live without.

I think it will be the official announcement of the presentation and it's depth.

That would also make a lot of sense adding college teams because ncaa basketball 11 is not coming out so if they added college teams they could make a combinded game sort of that would be really cool.

Michael Jordan will be in the game aswell LOL . . .

Apparently there are some issues with the international licensing for NCAA basketball, which is why college basketball games have only been released in the US and Canada. Since NBA Elite's a worldwide release, they'd have to clear that legal obstacle first.
