Rose is overrated by the press and coaches because he was named to the all-star team and won rookie of the year, quite undeservedly. He's not my favorite player by any means, but I don't dislike him persay. I wouldn't mind him on the Blazers (as long as he wouldn't cost Roy, Oden or Batum), but I disagree with most of the accolades.

Yes, I was taking the piss. Sorry Andrew, couldn't help it

Andrew, I do believe Rose is a good player. To me he is similar to what Steve Francis was to Rockets, but slightly more PG-oriented, but that's how I project him, which isn't so bad because I liked Francis

EDIT: I actually like the Boozer signing. Firstly, they didn't get desperate & pay $20 mill a season to him. Secondly, I think he fits in with what the Bulls are doing & helps their half court offense, which hasn't been great for a while. The Bulls haven't had a good power forward since they foolishly traded away Elton Brand, so overall, I give it

Fair enough.

For the record, I don't doubt that there are Bulls fanboys out there that do overrate him as fanboys always will. Generally speaking though, I think most people have a fairly realistic handle on his abilities and that even if you can make arguments for another player winning ROY that season or someone else making the All-Star squad instead, to me "undeserving" just seems like too strong a word.

He was definitely more deserving than the likes of Mo Williams & Jameer Nelson

You mean the Jameer Nelson who had a 61.2% true shooting percentage and an offensive rating of 121?

Boozer sounds like a great pick up if the Bulls can pull it. He's not big for PF but he's one tough player for sure. He should be a great fit in Chi town, forming Malone and Stocktong combo alongside Rose(hopely somewhat like). And if James and Boozer both end up in Chicago, they'd be the team to beat for years to come.

It's official, sign-and-trade that also includes a future protected second round pick, for what that's worth. The Hinrich trade is now also official.

the guy is 6'9 260lbs! what is your definition of a big PF then

i think if the Bulls offer more then the MLE to Morrow, GSW won't match. it is risky to offer a big contract (maybe 5yrs/30mil) to a player who went undrafted. i think at this point the bulls will have to overpay a little to land a starting SG. lots of competition out there now
i do not want Reddick on this team... unless he signed/paid to be a player to come off the bench
i'll pass on Hamilton too.

Absolutely. Just to clarify my previous post, I envisioned him coming off the bench and not getting paid an extraordinary amount, were they to sign him. I didn't see him as the new starting shooting guard.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:39 am
Why don't you want Redick? He's better than Allen defensively, shoots as well, and is 10 years younger.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:41 am
I would, as would AG it seems so long as it's not for a ridiculous price and he's not brought in to start.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:47 am
Why don't you want him to start? He'd be the best Bulls SG since MJ.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:51 am
I'd take Gordon or Hinrich over him, but guess that's just me.

I miss tables.

Didnt he single handedly lose a game for the magic this season? He can shoot like a mofo and defends alright, but I'd like someone i could trust in the last 30 seconds a little more.

We've got tables BBCode. benji whipped it up.

Oznogrd, Not really. He almost ruined one possession, but Vince Carter and the rest of the team had lost the game long before that.

I remember a playoff choke job where he looked as if he had no idea what he was supposed to be doing. Its the look i see on his face most of the time. I mean, the stats dont lie and ill admit that...but as a bulls fan if i used them in assoc: redick would be my first trade fodder.
Fri Jul 09, 2010 11:31 am
Well, that was annoying. Who's next?
Fri Jul 09, 2010 11:33 am
And that's why a lot of us weren't getting our hopes up too much.

Oh, Confusious????
Fri Jul 09, 2010 11:43 am
David Lee is next?

Lol.
What a dumb guy.

Going to the Warriors in S&T.

Hm so Boozer it is. I mean he certainly filled a hole but I cant help but be a little disappointed at what could have been in Chicago. It would've been an experiment and a clusterfuck to have Bosh, Wade, Lebron, Rose, Noah, but it would've been fun to watch.
Then again now we get to see the same thing with hot women in bikinis because its now set in Miami...
Fri Jul 09, 2010 1:02 pm
It is disappointing, but the Bulls have actually managed to improve. Boozer is the legitimate post player that we've all been screaming about for the last four years, and they managed to get him, while still preserving some cap space to go after a decent shooting guard and bench. It's not as great as it could have been, but hey, they could have signed Ben Wallace again.
Chicago has leapfrogged Cleveland, Charlotte, and possibly Atlanta and maybe the Bucks. They could realistically be the 4th seed in the East.
