Monitor Blinks During Game

My new monitor that I just got 4 months ago had started to blink (screen blacks out for a second like a flash) when I start up the game and during game play. At times, it would blink every 5 seconds during game play. Most recently, the game had been blinking constantly, almost blacking out the whole time while the game is still running. My graphics card is also new, GeForce 9500 GT. Also, the game does the same thing when I play MLB 2k10, so I don't think it only happens with NBA 2k10. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Whenever I try to reboot, my screen would say no signal and I would have to turn off the computer and wait 5+ minutes before it works again. I've never had this problem for the past 3 months.

Video card, probably. Or maybe there are some problems with the power supply unit.
Anyway, just take your PC to a service center I think, they will help you there.

Check and make sure all cables and connections in your pc are firmly connected. Nothing should be loose. Try lowering your graphic settings and see if it has any effect. Try changing some of the settings in your videocard control panel as there could be a buggy one or one that is incompatible with the game. Update your graphics drivers. You can also try changing your graphic drivers to an older version.

That I think is the best solution so far . If its with your monitor then try to purchase a new one. Try updating also the drivers for your video card. I also have a 9500 graphics card and everything works fine for me. Just download new drivers from their site.
