Garnett's hand was under the ball. Kobe knocked it out, and it rolled off his fingers. It was pretty clear from the replay.

He had some good looks, two or three of those go in and it's definitely a different ballgame.

Nice game overall. I thought the game is highly contested with Ray Allen having a err, "less-lucky-like-how-dare-put-it-in-Game-2" level of play. He was getting open, but wasn't able to get it in.
Fisher won the 4th quarter. Great clutch game from the guy.
GET SOMEONE TO KILL THE LAKERS!

Funny how last game the Lakers continued to play for 48 minutes even though they knew the game was over, they still competed till the buzzer. Celtics did not do that tonight, and it was a closer game.
Lol at the Lakers fan claiming to be "assaulted" by Celtic fans in the bathroom.

Paul Pierce got 5 fouls, what a coincidence

Nice calls by the officials in this game especially in the last 2 minutes.
Pierce said "The series will not be returning to L.A"
I love it when players are predicting the series

According to the NBA's Twitter, Kobe Bryant was picked by the fans as Player of the Game. I would've paid Derek Fisher that compliment given his fourth quarter play, but there you have it.

Doubt it. To be fair, most players don't cry after a win in the middle of a playoff series.

That''s how Rasheed guaran-sheed things.

Mr. Obvious. Thanks once again.

And he was right.
FACT: No team with Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher has ever lost in the NBA Finals after taking a 2-1 lead.

You forgot your

at the end of the sentence.

benji was talking about Paul Pierce talking about the greatness of LA and Fisher's name is also there so no need for it. It only applies and only to Kobe Bryant only.

Here's an idea. You could make a post or two occasionally that don't needlessly mock me.

I might be a bit late in on this, but I gotta take my hats off to Derek Fisher for that awesome fourth quarter. I've never like Fisher, especially after what he did to Scola in last year's playoffs but props to him for what he did today.
Watching Ray today was a pain though, after seeing him shooting the lights out just 2 days ago, it's kinda hard to believe.
Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:56 pm
Just goes to show you how old the Celtics are. Ray Allen came out firing in the second game and at game three he's too tired to even make one.
Wed Jun 09, 2010 10:42 pm
celtics are forced to win the next 2 now or this thing is over. good news is one of our key players will be on the bench the entire game. maybe it can be kg again cause like that kobe douche says he is not a key member anymore

I don't know what the fuck happened to Ray Allen yesterday. He sets a 3-POINT RECORD and then the next game all he scores are two foul shots and goes 0-13 from the field!!! There's no question Ray Allen lost this for them. Also Paul Pierce getting into foul trouble didn't help the Celtics either. And then of course in the fourth,Derek Fisher gets a crap load of points to close it out. To leave Fisher alone in the fourth is like asking for the loss. and of course, having refs on the side of the Lakers whenever there's a close call, whatever. Kobe touched the ball after KG. should have been Boston ball. At such a crucial point, that was a bullshit call. along with other calls/not-calls. Boston (and the refs) needs to get their act back together, but I'm still sticking with Boston in 7.

the back to back fouls on pierce and sheed was one of the worst things i have ever seen

It's called regression to the mean. It happens.

The replayed one? That was the right call. It quite clearly rolled off Garnett's fingers after Kobe's hand came off the ball.

The Pierce call was bad, but the Sheed call was good. Again, 'straight up' means 'straight up'.

On the other hand, "Big game, but why so serious?" would be possibly one of the best questions a courtside reporter could ever ask.

Possible. Craig Sager in a purple coat.
Thu Jun 10, 2010 2:33 am
yeah straight up means straight up for offensive players too.
the kg call was the right call imo it did hit his fingers after kobe hit it. of course you could probably make that call at least 1/4th of the time. i would bet that if you slowed down all the plays like that alot of the times it would actually go off the offensive players. for instance alot of blocked shots are still on the offensive players hand after the defensive players hand has come back
Thu Jun 10, 2010 2:52 am
Why Creg Sager is never dressed like an ordinary people and he's like a clown every game?
Thu Jun 10, 2010 3:10 am
Because he's a pimp.

The offensive player is always going to get the call if both players are leaning in, though.
