Rate-A-Trade

Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:32 am

This is kind of a game for association players, it can give us ideas about trades and chance to brag about trades u make :D . It's pretty simple, here's how it works:

Step 1) Rate a trade that's posted above from 1 to 10 (your opinion), 10 being the best.

Step 2) Post a trade you made so that others can rate it as well. Players you gave away should be at the top and players that you traded for at the bottom. Bald text represents players given away, italic- received. You also have to write teams' names before all that, underlining it:
Code:
[u] ---> User's team's name here <--- [/u]
[b] -->Your players here <-- [/b]
[size=150][u]For[/u][/size]
[u] ---> CPU's team's name here <--- [/u]
[i] ---> Other team's players here <--- [/i]

I will start this by posting a trade that I made today:

Miami Heat
Rashard Lewis, James Johnson, 1st round pick (cavs), 1st round pick (hawks)
For
Orlando Magic
Vince Carter, Dorell Wright

I'd say 7. Could have gotten a better player than Bargnani for Odom, maybe Iguodala even.

Well, I needed a scorer, and Lewis was just a shooter (not a very good one for me either), and Johnson didnt play as good as I expected him to. And Cavs- #2 in the east just below myself, hawks projected to be #3 or #4 because of Orlando's and Boston's slow start (I think Magic are 2 and 8, Boston 4 and 6). Carter is now giving me 20-25 pts a game, Wright comes off the bench and delivers 5 to 10 pts. Also when that trade happened Miami is unstoppable offensively (rated 97), and even though their defense is weak (76 or something) Heat were able to... How to put this.... CRUSH the Cavaliers 110-147 ;o . Also Vinsanity delivered vs the Nets in the next game after cavs and hit the Game winner at the buzzer- Heat 112, Nets 109.

Anyway, trade that I made before the Orlando deal:

Heat
Jamal Crawford, Ben Wallace, 1st Round pick via Heat (remember Im #1 in the East, 9-1, but at the time I was 1-1 I think)
FOR
Steve Nash

I did this because I needed my offense to flow, and Crawford wasn't going to do that as a PG (I thought he could), and Chalmers wasn't ready to run this high-caliber team.

Miami Heat
Michael Beasley, Jermaine O'Neal, Mario Chalmers
For
Washington Wizards
Gilbert Arenas, Brendan Haywood, Mike Miller

^ Arenas contract in my opinion is terrible, but everytime i met Wizards, Arenas was unstopabble, & Mike's 3 pointers were really deadly.
6 or 6,5. Because i think Jermaine is better than Haywood & i think you can resign him for cheap.

exactly.. i just realize i can send out Artest + Odom for Iggy, but i desperately need Artest since he is a consistent 3 shooter for me.

~~
Lakers
Jordan Farmar
Mavs
JJ Barea + 1st round Mavs

thought ?

Re: Rate-A-Trade

Wed Mar 17, 2010 1:20 am

I say 8, just because Mavs are a good team, so their pick wont be high.

~~

Heat
J. O'neal
FOR
Cavs
S. O'neal+2010 1st round pick+2011 1st round pick+2010 2nd round pick.

PS dont forget to rate trades above, dont just post yours and leave it.

I'd say 8, too. It's a good trade.

I'd say 7.5 because Shaq is old but anyway better than Jermaine.

~~
Miami Heat
Mike Miller, J Jones, '10 1st Round Pick
For
Philadelphia Sixers
Iguodala

What do you say about my trade

Camby
2010 1st round pick
2011 1st round pick
Bayless

for

Danny Granger

Re: Rate-A-Trade

Sun Apr 11, 2010 6:53 am

I''d say that you lost out there Marinmarin, Danny Granger is a superb player, but you already have brandon roy, now u will have three guys (including aldridge) fighting for points. And not only did you give up your defensive big, but kissed ur next 2 good draft picks goodbye..

Overall I'd give it a 6.5, just because it may cause trouble within the team

Here's my trade:

Bulls get: Ron Artest, Adam Morrison, Cartier Martin, Andray Blatche

Lakers Get: Luol Deng, James Johnson, Randy Foye, james Singleteon

Wizards Get: Joe Alexander, Taj Gibson, Sasha Vujacic, Josh Powell

AND

I also traded flip murray and brad miller away for courtney lee and erick dampier

My focus if you haven't figured it out yet is to turn the bulls into a defensive, hustling, hard working team. With these trades, my team defensive rating is 89.

Re: Rate-A-Trade

Mon Apr 12, 2010 12:56 am

great trade daniel24! ill rate it as 9 :)

im also using bulls but i still want to use the current core of the team, with the continuous improvement of derrick rose :D

here are my trades:
devin brown traded for clips 2nd pick - remove this since brown was a low potential rating
sign raja bell from free agent - adding a veteran and defense as backup guards along with murray (another defensive guard) for rose-hinrich tandem
traded pargo, jerome james and bulls 2nd pick for dominic mcguire and sean may - james 48 rating and 6m contract is really irritating :D pargo is getting unsettled :D
bulls 1st pick for suns 1st pick (suns is struggling so far :) )

not much a great change in lineup but so far we are doing good and the team chemistry is still high :)

for me, losing beasley is a big factor for miami, also arenas has a bad contract for a lot of years and mike miller and haywood is not getting any younger

ill rate it as 7

Re: Rate-A-Trade

hello everyone.. just started my association yesterday with the bucks.. i have simmed 12 games and now i can make some trades..

traded Redd for Mike Miller via three-way three player trade..
Bucks got: Mike Miller, Andray Blatche
Kings got: Michael Redd, Al Thornton
Washington got: Carl Landry, Andres Nocioni, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
~EDITED

hmmn.. it looks like that i got a little bamboozled in this trade..
given up my best scorer and a prospect defender..
but i think that i win in this..
got a nice three-point scorer in miller, and nice defender with some offense on his arsenal in andray blatche.
what you think guys?

BTW, Carl Landry got involved because he was the only offer in my trading block for Redd.
i really want Mike Miller so tried to get him via three-way trade..
fortunately, i got the Wizards to bite..
can someone out there suggest? a better trade? or better players in the teams to be involved?
:cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

Thanks man,i was surprised when i saw the "the PHX Suns have accepted your offer!"

Ty Lawson & K-Mart contracts together is equal to Amare's contract!

But Ty is 74 overall while K-Mart 77 and Stat is 84...i was surprised

yeah def. a 10. Powerful Denver :)

Someday in the second season I got this offer in the trading block:

NJ NETS
K. Dooling
For
OKC Thunder
R. Westbrook, K. Lowry, R. Price

so after some matches of thinking about it accepted the trade and seconds later made this offer:

NJ Nets
K. Lowry, R. Westbrook, '11 1st Round Pick
For
M Grizzlies
Rudy Gay

reached conference semis (2011) with this team:

D.Harris
J.Wall
R. Gay
C.Boozer
B.Lopez

You must be twins or something.

Re: Rate-A-Trade

well it's only 2 players really, and SF and PW are the positions where the Nets need a boost.
It's quite a coincidence though.
Anyways I will try to get rid of the huge contract of Boozer during this 3rd season, as i got D. Favors the offseason
