Looks like I'm going to make today another one of "those" days....

Took Wednesday off to get some packing done for the move next weekend, was productive I guess, then yesterday all shit hit the fan. If it could go wrong, it did. Was late to work, missed alarms on my phone, and they decided that they were going to not pay me my remaining vacation time (took a 3 fun hours, but they are paying me)

Followed up with my grandmothers 87th birthday party where I had fun keeping grandma's freshly mined earwax and denture pickings out of everyones food since she's decided to see with her hands again.

and for today, well, today the Backbreaker demo is released o the 360. That stupid football game I'm obsessed with because no tackle will ever be the same. That stupid game that I have fed off every slim glimmer of information that I have read about since the damn thing was announced. Well I get to play it today...up at 5am for the 360 Marketplace update....wait, demos are posted at 9am? On a day where I am forced to work (co-worker got the day off) and can't come home for lunch??? FML...because of a game demo...I said it.

You really should have left out that last paragraph.

yep, but if it aint embarrassing, why post it?

I post that embarrassing stuff because I read it after and it just snaps everything into perspective for me. So, I am no longer rocking back and forth in my chair refreshing xbox.com and passing out at my keyboard.

Well the demo did come out before I left, so success. Friggin game is going to be crack to me.

Pull his finger!

Same deal here but not as worse as Sauru. Can't press with the right thumb so much after playing catch football for two days just a few days ago.

You certainly can complain about a broken finger in this thread, but you wouldn't be making excuses for your gaming now, would you? :scold:

Seriously though, that sucks. Sorry to hear it!

I have been trying to quit smoking. Any suggestions from those who succeeded?

My cardio is at half where I want it to be, my morning breathe stinks, and taxes on cigg are raping my pockets.

Patch isn't an option, since I know it's more of mental addiction.

Why did you start smoking?

Been a long time, but it's the circle of friends that led me to smoke.

guys...it doesnt really matter why he chose to or not. The question is about now and he's trying to end the repercussions of his previous bad decision.

If patch and gum wont work dude there's wellbutrin you can get from docs in the states thats supposed to help. Don't know any success stories though.

Honestly though man, i'd do the weaning thing.

Also avoid situations that you know are going to make you want to smoke again as much as you can (example: going to a hookah bar if you're an ex smoker=stupid decision_

I have a friend who's currently on a course of varenicline and it's working out well for him, though obviously you need to consult a doctor first.

Re: The Letting Off Steam Thread

I guess I will visit my home doctor about this, though I know it's such a hassle these days to book an appointment. Probably it'll be a week or two later, when a doc is able to see me.
