A collection of memorable stories from NBA Live's franchise and career modes.

Sounds good.

Can't believe I didn't think of this before. I can just take my PS3 back into the other room and use the cable in there. My brother just got a new TV so he put his old one in the other room. I'll do it after the Playoffs are finished, when I have some spare time.
Crisis averted

And I have continued playing games. They're very difficult at this stage of the playoffs.

---
edit: Never mind. I've somehow managed to save another game over this one. So this is over I guess.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:51 pm
Oh man, that sucks.

I've done that before (as I'm sure others have), not just in NBA Live but with other games too and it's one of the most disappointing feelings in gaming. Sorry to hear it, this has been a great Dynasty. If you feel like starting another one - perhaps you'd could sim through to the Playoffs - then you might want to keep two save files in case something happens to one.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 8:30 pm
I decided to start this game again. I did the same trades (Wallace and Gay).
All the other teams roster's are different, but mine is the same as it would have been. (Cleveland have LeBron and Bosh)
I simmed the first season and I'll pick this up from the start of the second season.
Really sucks. I was up to game 4 of the Finals against Boston. I beat the Lakers 4-1 and was leading 2-1 against Boston after losing game 1.
As far as the story goes, I think I'll just say Boston won the series and Championship.

After losing game 1, I held on to win game 2. Then I went to Boston and dominated the Celtics to take a 2-1 lead.
As you would expect these games were the toughest of any I've played. But you want to be challenged at this point of the season.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 8:34 pm
Again it's a real shame, it's been a great Dynasty and that looks like it would've been a great conclusion. I think it'd be fair if you declared yourself the champions as you were up 2-1 and I'd say on the way to winning it all but it's your Dynasty and story so that's up to you.

Good luck in the new season!

2011 Off-Season
Released
Ben Wallace
He was a great asset last season, but at 36 he is slowly losing his abilities. Free Agent currently.
Thabo Sefolosha
Was only used last season if other players were in foul trouble. Lacked offensive skills. Free Agent currently.
Kevin Ollie
Was inactive all season. Retired at the end of the season.
--------------------------------------------
Re-Signed
Rudy Gay - SF - 24 - 10.36m - 6 years
He was excellent last season. 6 years because this group is young and have many seasons together.
--------------------------------------------
Draft
Dilbert Benjamin - C - 22 - 442k - 2 years
I simmed the draft as I only had a crap second round pick.
--------------------------------------------
Free Agents Signed
Brandon Roy - SG - 26 - 12.12m - 6 years
One of the league's best shooting guards. I'll move Gay to power forward and Green can go to the bench and be an impact player.
It was either him or Stoudemire. I chose Roy because I like him better and I had Mullens to play center if I had no other big men.
Brendan Haywood - C - 30 - 4.45m - 1 year
Signed as a replacement for Wallace. 1 year because he is 30 and I wanted to keep my options open for next off-season.
Glen Davis - PF - 24 - 5.85m - 1 year
Signed on mid level exception for 1 year to add depth in the big man department. Will be used as a center or a forward.

Jeff to the bench ?

Why ?
Wed Apr 28, 2010 10:30 pm
Nice moves, though I'd either bring Gay off the bench to anchor the second unit while starting Green, or start Durant at power forward.
Wed Apr 28, 2010 10:52 pm
I'd have taken Amare. Amare-Green-Durant-Gay-Westbrook would be unbeatable. Your 3 best players now are all SG/SF-s

Because I can't have 6 players on the court.

Ok, I switched Durant and Gay. I prefer to have Gay to Green because he has more offensive skills.

I thought about it, but I wanted Roy and I was lining up Haywood anyway. Plus Amare has those ugly glasses.
Thu Apr 29, 2010 12:04 am
Mo Williams to CB#4 ?
Thu Apr 29, 2010 2:14 am
I'm not sure if that was a straight swap because I simmed the season. Crazy if it was.
My first game is against Boston

definitely with Martti on this one; you gotta ton of offense but no BEAST; Big Baby is good start but no Amar'e (even with the 'ugly' glasses)

I really hope that doesn't turn out to be a prediction of Paxson's offseason moves.

Al Harrington at C? I thought he played SF and PF? And DUDE your roster is gonna slaughter everyone :O.
Thu Apr 29, 2010 8:28 pm
He's started some games at centre for the Knicks in real life but if he signed with the Bulls I imagine he'd be playing power forward with Noah at centre. The game has a tendency to set unusual rotations though.
Thu Apr 29, 2010 8:40 pm
Yea, I think it set Nelson for my SF once
Thu Apr 29, 2010 9:52 pm
Couple of changes for this season. I can't really be bothered writing up game reports at the moment, so I'll just have like game notes.
Also, because it's season 2 and lots of players are now on different teams, I'm going to highlight the players in their team colour.
And there will be no photos or videos, at this point in time anyway.
I may go back to my old design if I get internet back, but this is a lot less time consuming I must admit.

Understandable, frankly I'd have a little trouble getting back into the Dynasty after what happened to the original. Congrats on opening the season with a win.
