Stunned a topic hasn't been made yet. With Cleveland beating Chicago and Boston beating Miami tonight, the first conference semifinals series has been set: Cavs vs. Celtics. A rematch of the epic 2008 conference semis, a much improved Cavs team takes on a declining Celtics team. I honestly don't see Boston having any chance in this one barring a LeBron injury.
Cleveland in 5.

You're our resident series thread starter though, the responsibility of the joke poll options falling squarely on your shoulders. What more could a vet ask for?
It looks like LeBron's elbow is bothering him (I thought it was his wrist but apparently it's his elbow that he aggravated in a fall in Game 5 against the Bulls) so it remains to be seen whether he'll be at all affected, but regardless I don't think the Celtics will be taking down the Cavs here. I'll pick the Cavs in five as well, though I'm expecting the games themselves to be competitive with perhaps just one lone blowout.

Option #9, without a question.
Cavs in 7, though I hope they lose just so my extremely slim hope of the Mavs getting LeBron remains.

I think I will love this series. Cavaliers in 7. Just can't bet against Lebron and Shaq. Boston's frontcourt won't have it easy this time.

Lucid Lynx comes out Thursday!

Cavs in 6, I hope Garnett and Sheed make a fight against the Cavs

So Shaq can break their faces?

I kind of picked the cavs in 7 but boston is scary to me, I'm afraid that the celtic big men, Wallace, Garnett and Perkins are going to over power the cavalier big men. I think the xfactor for the cavs is Delonte West, and for the celtics Kendrick Perkins. Great point gaurd battle all the the way through, Mo Williams and Daniel Gibson (If Gibson gets playing time) against Rajon Rondo and Nate Robinson. In order for Boston to win I think Rondo is going to have to get his triple doubles, points, rebounds and assists, at least 8 rebounds if he doesn't get the triple double. I kind of think he's gonna have a field day against Williams and Gibson. I think Gibson is faster than Mo Williams and if Daniel Gibson ends up gaurding Rondo I think he can catch up with Rondo, but I don't think either of cleveland's point gaurds can stop Rondo. I also in order for the celtics to win, all of their big men will have to score.

Celtics in 4, lol to you

LeBron James is not only the most talented player in the playoffs, but he's also a helluva guy too!
Cavaliers in 6

I bet a lot players pull stuff like that. They were once high school jocks, after all.

He's just like Ovie! Hopefully his team doesn't follow the same path the Caps took

.
Does anyone think that elbow injury is seriously going to affect him? I somehow doubt it and expect 28/9/9 averaged through the seven games.

Apparently there's
no structural damage but it's still bothering him a bit. Maybe it will affect his performance a little at times but at this stage I would also expect him to put up big numbers in the series regardless.

Lebron is one of the top five toughest players in the nba, he'll be fine.

It's Cleveland in 7 or Celtics in 7 for me.
every team will win its home game, most likely for an upset are the Cavs though

That makes us 3. Although while keeping it in the within bounds of realism, Cavs will take this easily, unless KG and the rest of the group miraculously go back 2 years and start to play the defense they used to.

The 2008 Celtics needed an overtime game 7 and homecourt to beat a Cavs team sans Mo Williams, Shaq and Jamison. Wash.

But the Celtics now have Sheed Wallace, Nate and Finley!

These series might lead to Lebron Resigning or a team change in the off-season.

So Lebron's elbow has been diagnosed with a strain and he claims the injury is better. Thats not too bad but doesnt mean he still wont feel any discomfort. And if you know how physical and dirty the Celtics play then I bet you'd already know theyll be hacking right at that elbow throughout the series

. So he will get hit there a lot. Read more about it here.
