Offensive Team Plays

Wed Feb 04, 2004 6:56 pm

Andrew, you said that you updated the teams Offensive plays, does this mean that i dont have to set the other team's offensive plays in Team Stratergy??

Wed Feb 04, 2004 6:59 pm

That's correct. I'm informed that the Playbook will still display "Dynamic" as the CPU's offensive play, but they will use the play I've entered in teams.dbf.

Andrew, just a question.

With the offences as you said, the teams don't really run it.
For Example the triangle with Lakers, when I played against them with the new offence, Shaq is rarely used in the triangle and its barely set up properly, with the 3 points. How often will the triangle be used, every 2 plays, 3 plays, once a quarter?

I'm not sure how often CPU teams go to their primary offense in Live 2004, but the Lakers should run a random sideline triangle play from time to time. They won't run it every time down the floor though.

Can the defensive plays be updated too?

Most teams don't play the same defense the entire game. They will switch between man-to-man and zone, and occasionally double team players or press the ball.
