IMPORTANT: The patch will only work if...
1) You enable the custom art feature
2) You have Pat Burke created in you roster.
3) You have a DBF editor of some sort.
Installation:
------------------------
For this patch to work properly you must follow these instructions:
1. ENABALING CUSTOM ART:
First, you have to enable the custom art feature. To do this,
Go to C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003\main\cscripts,
open xstartup.cfg with notepad, replace the last line with this
one:
customart 1
Note: enabaling the custom art feature will make loading screens
take longer to load.
-------------------------------
2. CREATE PAT BURKE:
Open your roster that you want create Pat in. Go to 'create
player' and create him. Save your roster and exit NBA Live 2003.
Keep note of the save file number the next step.
(eg. 000, 001 etc.)
-----------------------------------
3. EDIT PAT WITH YOUR DBF EDITOR:
This is very important. Please don't ignore this step or the
patch will not work properly.
a) with the DBF editor open 'players.dbf' from your saves folder
(eg. 000, 001 etc.) which will be located at
C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves.
b) Find Pat Burke, He will be at the bottom if he was the last
player you created.
c) When you scroll right, you will see a heap of differnet fields,
find the ISCREATED field and change it from from 'True' to
'False'.
d) then a couple of rows along there is the 'PLAYERPKG' field,
change it to PABURKE. Then exit the DBF editor.
NOTE: if you don't have a DBF editor then you can get one
at www.dbcommander.com
------------------------
4. INSTALLING THE PATCH:
Lastly...
1) Extract these files into
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003
2) Double click on 'NB- Pat Burke.bat'.
