Needless to say, it didn't go anywhere near the 50-60 metres that I had promised it would

One doesn't need to go outside to knock back a few refreshments. ;)

It just doesn't feel right to stay inside for New Years in sunny Queensland. :(

I will be outside and getting rained on I guess!

A few drinks and you'll soon forget about the rain.

Most probably. Hopefully it won't be humid. :)

How's the weather down in Newcastle? There's lots of rain on the NSW/QLD border

Admittedly, it has been a pretty bad time to be on holidays. The sun will probably come back out when I'm back at work (N)

Yeah it's pretty grey down here at the moment too, hasn't rained today but got a little overnight and beginning with Boxing Day we've had some dreary days.

Agreed. I hate rainy days, makes me not wanna do anything but stay indoors.

Also put a spanner in the works of our basketball plans cause only can play on outdoor courts!

I guess it could be worse. They are forecasting some big cyclones hitting north Queensland so lucky I ain't there!

I am feeling really unaccomplished in life right now. Im only 18 but still i dont like how I have never put my best effort in anything i have done. i know for fact i can be the best if I go at it but over the years my personality has just conformed into someone who is ok with getting by the bare minimum. another year gone its already 2010.

shit good ol memories. i wouldnt change anything. not even the bad because it has shaped me into who I am today. time to step it up. it feels good posting this on a website where noone would know who I am. i can be honest here. atleast to myself.

sick and tired of trying to conform to others around me. I dont know how much affect the move from India to America has had on my development. i came here at age 14. its been 4 years. 4 important years when my personality was still being shaped. There have been good points points definitely but there is a part of me curious to know how i would had been today if i had still been back there. No matter how fluent my English seems to my peers or how Americanized my looks have gotten. I will never feel like this is where i belong, but you still never know. I might just be home sick. As soon as i go back to India i might want to come back to america again. im just living to please others right now, which in turn pleases me but its just a momentary pleasure like a one you get from narcotics. I hope the real me isnt lost.

Once he/she's healed, you should train your dog to attack to (ex-) girlfriend on sight.
