It's just perceived as trashy no matter who does it. When you see a tweet or Facebook status of someone talking about how drunk they got the other night you kind of judge them because that's trashy.
It'd probably be safe to say that Ray gets mad play, but he doesn't need to tweet it (he's a smart man so that obviously wasn't him)
lil' Jimmy's mom say, "Take that Ray Allen jersey off, he's a sex pervert with a sweet sweet jumper".

Just because it's your perception doesn't mean everyone perceives it that way.
If a friend of mine posted something like that, good for him as long as it doesn't negatively affect his work or social life or wouldn't embarrass him/her.
I would probably be also with that friend last night the trashing happened.
Assuming it was really him who made that, imo he could have made a mistake. Instead of sending it directly to the 'playing' lady he was about to meet, he accidentally twittered it.
The mom won't really do that when she herself knows about Ray's sweet sweet stroke of a jumper.

In many careers, having stuff like that on a Facebook (or sometimes having Facebook at all) can get you fired real quick. Obviously they can't "fire" Allen, but you see my point.
True, I would actually be in that boat too, but again, all the people on your facebook aren't like "buddies" so when that guy you had a science lab last semester posts something like that and you think, "God, you're a tool dude no one cares". lol, we all have had that moment.
True, in that case Ray's a dumb ass because talking dirty over Twitter is effing retarded and impossible to keep private lol

ORLANDO, Fla. — Retired NBA star Ray Allen said he is a victim of “catfishing,” and has asked a court to throw out a case where he is accused of stalking someone he met online.
Allen filed an emergency motion in Orange County, Fla., on Tuesday, one day after Bryant Coleman told the court he is being stalked by the 10-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion.
Allen said Coleman is the one who is stalking.
“Coleman pretended to be a number of attractive women interested in Ray Allen,” read the motion filed on Allen’s behalf. “Ray believed he was speaking with these women and communicated with them.”
In the filing, Allen said Coleman threatened to reveal details of their conversations, and that the sides eventually struck a deal to keep everything private. Allen said that deal has been violated and that Coleman has continued to harass him and his family through several social-media accounts.”
