Lockdown Defense had problems of its own. I actually prefer the defense in 10 compared to 09.

i gotta say nba live 10 is a solid game, live 11 will top 2k11. you heard it here first.

and the hangar plyaers seem to have a theme. i've noticed the default is a superstar group. i've also noticed after a game it changes to a rookie group, Team Jordan group, and a 2003 draft class group.

Good to see you again, Q. (Y)

I've noticed that in The Hanger too. It's cool in its own right, though I'd have to agree with what others have said: it'd be nice if we could select the group of players that's shooting around in The Hangar at any given time. I'm guessing it has something to do with showing off the authentic gear at the same time, but they could just utilise generic NBA/team apparel for anyone who doesn't have signature gear.

Hey man.

Can you tell me if you can change franchises during the offseasons of dynasty mode in Live 10? I think i recall that being possible in an earlier version, but doesn't seem to be a feature of 09.

Or if there can be a mod created similar to the date changer for mvp baseball?

It's the Y button on the 360, so I'd say it'll be Triangle on the PS3.

I don't think we can. I won a championship with the Magic during a simulation and I didn't get an offer to take control of another team. In past versions that was usually enough to trigger that offer.

I doubt it.

partly true. but lockdown-d on live09 is more reliable than RT/R1 imho. i also hope EA will fix the AI's ability to defend coz' AI is too strong on defense. if EA can also includes a controller options wherein you can select nbalive09 controller version mapping, the current map or the user can fully customize every buttons.

Is there any chance of someone making a newer editor program for the PC version of NBA Live? No big deal if not. Just wondering

Wrong place; this is the NBA Live 10 Q&A thread. If it's not about NBA Live 10, it doesn't belong here. ;)

Since you asked though, I guess I couldn't rule out the possibility of someone making one but it seems highly unlikely.

Just to follow up on that, they kind of did with the official patch and I have to say, it's made things worse.

As far as I can tell, the only way is to quit out of it. It'll tell you that your workout isn't finished but I don't think there's any way to get results through the fullcourt and halfcourt practices, it's just a free-for-all to get the hang of things.

Hey Andrew,

You going to be doing a review of the 360 version of Live 2010? You usually have one up by now but I'm guessing you've either been too busy &/or you were waiting for patch updates.

I've been meaning to do one but I haven't been sure what to do as far as the patches go. I think what I'll do is post some detailed impressions in the next couple of days (NBA Live 10 Impressions: One Month Later) which will cover the pre-patch and post-patch game, then post further detailed impressions once the second update comes out. I'll still see about doing a full review but through those other impressions posts I'll probably have everything covered, but in any case look out for another write-up coming soon.

Hey Andrew. I'm thinking about buying this game if I can make the roster as accurate as possible during season mode. Which means the CPU does not create any fictional transactions.

Can't be done in Dynasty Mode. Can be done with Dynamic Season mode, but at this point you'd probably be playing a few Rewind games to get yourself going because it advances with the real NBA season.

No news as yet, we probably won't get any confirmation either way on that for a couple of months at least.

Dynamic Season mode has accurate roster lineups. That's good. No more training camps just start the season right away? Just like the old versions of NBA Live prior to the NBA Live 08? That's good to know man. By the way, I noticed in previous NBA Live that the shoes of the players sometimes are not the same color. So what I do they is I change their color. If they're wearing black shoes during games then all of their shoes should be black. In NBA 2k9 and 2k10 they don't have this problem. If a certain team wears black shoes during road games then they're all wearing black. In NBA Live some players are wearing white shoes others are wearing black during road games. I hope they corrected this problem. Editing the color of the player's shoes is painstaking. I can live with this as long as the rosters are accurate during dynamic season mode.

I should point out that the Dynamic Season updates have had their issue in terms of incorrect lineups with a database error here or there, but as far as seeing the CPU making odd trades that won't happen. Of course, if a stupid trade happens in real life it'll be in the game, but it'll at least be realistically stupid. ;)

That's good to know. Anyway I went to ebay and started bidding on nba live for the ps3. That's where I usually buy my games. To tell you honestly I switched over from NBA live to NBA 2k when the season mode in nba live became more unrealistic. The CPU was making unrealistic trades and signups which I didn't like.
