When the official drops how do I get it

Sorry for dumb question, but when the patch drops for the pc version, how do I get it. i had 2k9 for pc also, and honestly cant remember if I added the official patch or not. I have the digital download copy of 2k10 pc from steam, so its not a torrent issue, it is just honest stupidity. Do I go through steam for the patch, will there be a link on the forum here, any help appreciated. (I know its not out also, just wondering for when it drops)

When you say it will automatically download the patch, does that mean "steam" will, and I assume I need to be connected online to steam?

no bro, the game itself will detect the update i think, and from there you can download the patch or the "update"

Yes. If you're normally offline, go online with Steam when the patch releases then Steam will automatically download and install it.

No problem, it's one of the advantages of Steam, your game will always be patched and up to date if you're connected.
