it is amazing!! for one its so easy to play.

there is this thing called benchmarking mode in settings. it will help you or anyone with configuring for the game its smart and easy to use.

game play is terrific!! like amazing. graphics cant get much better.. but there is alot of work for us patchers..

online is gonna be easy as to use.. you set up an account and login when ever you wanna play. :)

ok first of all, the low post issue. negative. didnt occur to me, though i have only played a 5 min quarter so far there was quite alot of postin up. so that box is ticked.

next, the hustlin. there was just one time the ball was loose, but as soon as it was, a player dived after it, so that box is ticked aswell.

next, the graphix. well, amazing, what do u expect. pretty much 2K has continued the great graphixline of 2k9, with small adjustments, details that really give alot of realness in the game. like the jerseys movin, pants movin, etc.

ALSO, big thing for me. when theres 0,4 seconds on the clock, in 2k9, i couldnt get to a shot, the catching of the ball from out of bounds just took too long, the clock ran out. in 2k10, as soon as the player catches the ball he lets it go. i was in the other end of the court, and got to a halfcourt shot with Augustin in 0,4 seconds. just threw it to him and he let it go. so this year theres improved clock awareness

and the sliders aint so off at all. u just gotta play good dfenese. the Magic only scored 9 against me in 5 minutes with default sliders, and i was playin Bobcats, so idk, maybe just try harder of defense. cuz theyre FG % was like under 40

regardin defense, the players stay with their man better, in 2k9 they often ran past their man for me, in this game they have a lot better feel to the court and anticipating the opponents move

so after this 5 min quarter i give it 10 out of 10, but im gon continue explorin. definately worth the price, actually even more, later dudes, i applaud to 2k :applaud:

I just played the game (NBA 2K10 PC brought from gamersgate.com) and I can say that I am ecstatic about it. Simply amazing. I am not sure what was our German friend smoking (I saw one comment somewhere on the net that NBA 2K10 pc version lacks the same animations and stuff), but I can assure you that his view on this game should not count, especially since he was comparing it to XBOX 360 version, which is complete FAIL at this point in time. Either he has an issue with his PC settings or hardware or either he’s a *******.

I own both PC and XBOX 360 versions of NBA 2K10, therefore I can give some opinion as to which is playable/smooth and so on. As everyone already know XBOX 360 verison of NBA 2K10 has major framerate issues (camera settings – broadcast, key zoom off, zoom 10, height 6, helps a bit but not totally).

My PC specs – E8600 @4,5ghz, HD 4870 1GB @stock settings, 4GB DDR 2 RAM @1150mhz, Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic soundcard.

NBA 2K10 PC settings – 1920x1200, all settings @max, Vsync – ON.

Well, since I just had the pleasure to play it for one hour today, I only tested how the game plays in (1) quick game (bulls vs cavs), (2) one game in association mode (nuggets vs lakers) in order to test, how NBA TODAY works in association, because in XBOX 360 the feature -> NBA TODAY created even more lags, when commentators were referring to other games and actual stats. Moreover I quickly went into practice with Kobe in order to check out new dunks and animations.

So both, during the quick game and game in association mode, I experienced absolutely no lags/framerate issues whatsoever. The game plays smooth as hell (with Vsync off, the FPS is constantly @95-100fps, with Vsync ON it of course is @60fps). On the first play already I noticed couple of new animations after a sick alleyoop pass&dunk from Salmons to D.Rose.

Browsing trough menu is a lot smoother than in NBA 2K9 and then in currently crappy (unless patch solves it) NBA 2K10 XBOX 360 version. BTW, I have no issues with sound whatseover as reported by some.

The thing I noticed is that PC version does not have the players as shiny as xbox 360 version, which makes them more real. Did not have time to test the online mode, as I am not yet registered in 2ksports. I guess I cannot use the same username, password that I use on the forum.

I would give the game a straight up 10 for being so much smoother than the console version. I hope that the console version gets properly patched in order to be as good as the PC version, because in all other aspects both games are solid.

This game is worth every fucking penny!!!

thank you so much bros brau and -JJ- for the wonderful reviews! hell yeah! you got me more hyped about the game!

one quick question, when playing NBA Today, obviously you need internet connection while playing the game, but does the update of commentary and overlays happen during the game or before entering NBA Today menu (or before starting to play the game)? i was asking this question because i cannot set my laptop to high settings when anti virus is on (therefore, when internet is needed during the game(match up), i cannot turn my anti virus off)

No, you don't necessary need internet connection. For example if you play it without internet connection the commentators will refer to simulated (not real) results of that particular week/day in your season/association mode at that particular point, however if you play it with internet connection the commentators will refer to actual data, which is totally sick. Well I have not actually tested this, because the season has not started yet, but I feel it will be an amazing experience.

And the commentary occurs during the game. So for example, when you run a play, the commentators will refer to a game that will take place the upcoming Sunday or he will tell you how many points one of the players playing the actual game got the last time these teams played or yesterday and so on.

During break (inbounds and so on) the commentators will refer and post stats about assist leaders, field goal percentage leaders, about team standings (if you play a team in the same conference, the commentators will compare how both of you how fared so far in the season) and so on. It is pretty revolutionary.
