I'm playing the game where you try to get your programs reinstalled to Windows after having to reinstall Windows itself. Luckily some games(2K9) work with just a maneuvering of saves.

Oh, I played that too. Completed it yesterday after spending a couple of hours on it every day for almost a week. Some quests are just impossible to do, while others are really fun and bring back memories and make you want to tinker with things you had forgotten about. The copy i got was called "Freaking anti-virus not working, not telling you about it while someone is pumping trojans into your PC till it freezes on boot-up".

There really isn't shit these days as far as PC gaming. If I'm really bored and it gets really cheap, I'll probably buy FEAR 2 at some point, and Call of Juarez 2 as well, in the meantime I'm just playing GTA IV again and updating all roster stats for 2K9...

I bought the last Prince of Persia very cheap for PC. It looks fantastic with all the bells and whisteles on, but I'm really pissed that it only seems to recognize X360 controllers, yet again...Hopefully, I'll find a way to play with my Rumblepad2, it's not quite as fun with mouse and keyboard.

Yeah, I downloaded a similar program last night, we'll see if it works when I get home.
Still, that's pretty weak of programers not to even bother featuring support for something that's not a X360 controller. I'm guessing Microsoft is probably to blame here though.

but still, I'd rather be forced to use the 360 controller (which I use primarily anyway) than not get these 360 ports at all

there probably is some M$ deal going on where they offer some company to do the port if they only support the 360 controller, but I do agree it is really lazy on their part.

Prince of Persia is pretty good so far. It looks absolutely gorgeous and the art design is out of sight. But since it's forcing me to play with my mouse and keyboard, it's just the combat that leaves to be desired, the learning curve is quite steep, and I just find that part of the game deeply unsatisfactory.

I'd honestly suggest a wired 360 pad. Other than the d-pad it's fantastic, and it's going to be the way going forward for PC ports. (Well, it has been for some time.) Everything is written to auto default for it, so outside of setting resolution and stuff, it's like playing a console game on your PC with zero steps.

That said. You won't like the combat much better even with it. It's just all about parrying and taking advantage.

So i did the Endless Setlist 2 in Rock Band 2 today. So it joins Gold Tee It Up and NBA 2k6 as my 100% achievement completed games....so it 's be first completed game that actually has some difficulty.

Got the longer trigger things for the PS3, so been playing some Killzone 2 again.

And running a 2001 Celtics dynasty in 2k9.

fun fun fun

Old school gaming. Just finished Oni.

Rainbox Six Rogue Spear is up.

Them missions are nerve-wracking. I don't know if Rainbow Six Vegas still has it but re-playing Rogue Spear again I noticed that each of your team has their own personalities like that impatient sniper who shouts you to 'move it' to finish the mission and you can see it in his actions too with the way he stomps his leg if you don't give him the go code to shoot at targets.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, been playing UEFA Champions League, South Africa 2010 and Be a Legend Mode with roommate like none-stopped, game isn't too bad (PC hooked up to plasma), and looks pretty damn decent. Can't compare though to FIFA on the 360/PS3 though. Looks like from now on we'll be hooked on Arkham Asylum until school begins again.

I've finally restarted Metroid Prime 3 despite my lack of ideal seating for it unlike that chair a couple years back that was not mine. (And because I finally got a bit tired of Order Up!) Also back to TF2, since people I know IRL finally started playing for reasons that make less sense than why they didn't play it back in the past. Too bad they only play two of the classes.

The MP series and TF2 are like the culmination of the single-player and multi-player aspects of first person shooters. This is not debatable. If you have a Wii, when MP Trilogy comes out next week, you owe to yourself if you don't have the greatest game of last gen (Metroid Prime) and another great game of last gen (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes) along with one of the greatest games of this gen (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption) now you get all of them for $50 plus some fancy stuff including fancy Wii controls. Me, I'm struggling with it, because I has some other stuff to pay for, although it might be worth eating moar pasta for a while. Plus, I already own all three in their original forms. But yes, I must have it on one disc, in a fancy tin with Wii controls.

I bought a Wii for MP3 and anything else (Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Order Up! to date) is just gravy. Trilogy is like, RE4, a definitive edition of one of the greatest of all time. There's really no better first person game.

That's even a euphemism in my world.

Just finished Prince of Persia on PC, quite good overall, but really infuriating when it came to combat.
Just waiting for Batman to be released in a few days, and maybe I'll try the new Wolfenstein as well if I'm bored.

The King who you had to knock off the sides/into something, the changing of states, The Concubine, the fact that you couldn't knock them off the sides, Elika's general worthlessness in the battles, the timing that was off on the QTE's in the boss battles?

I did like baiting them into a parry to punish them with an epic combo.

Yup, all that. The Concubine and the Alchemist were especially annoying to beat each time.

I eventually figured this out at the end, took me long enough...

I'm not even sure if there was more than one ending, I chose to fuck up the trees and save Elika at the end, but I didn't even see any other alternative to that, well, besides pressing ESC and quit...

I just beat Call of Juarez Bound in Blood on PC. Graphic was pretty cool, and game play was pretty cool for FPS. Story is what kept me going though. The game was repetitive a bit. Replay value isn't there I suppose.

Fucking Beatles, beat it in one sitting last night and still having a blast with the songs even though I was listening to Beatles A-Z (aka the entire discography) on a radio station yesterday at work. Still playing Rock Band 2 too.
