no matter which you choose, i hope you won't remove the floater shot, the one a player does once you tap on the dunk button but your far from the basket. it looks cool and i think, 06 is the only one that has this kind of shot. the point guards needs this shot. thanks..

My plan is to keep that one, I like it too

thanks Jao.. looking forward for your beta release. take your time..

A thought just occurred to me. Would it be possible to set aside a FSS moveset or two that would be appropriate for the Legends? Obviously that needn't be a priority but it might be a good way to enhance that element of the game.

Well yesterday I spent a bunch of time with the FSS. trying to map it to other buttons, adding new FSS types, changing the criteria needed for FSS, and just failed miserably at all of the above.

I do want to get rid of the FSS rebounding, blocking, and stealing, they should just occur naturally. But still, those are defensive FSS types and I dont know how I could make that appear on the offensive side of things.

BLEH

fucking engine....

alright so I can't map passing to any FSS besides playmakers and I cant give playmakers shots or layups either.

Starting tomorrow I will be focusing on a nonFSS aiact so I can at least play this game a little bit....

Wed Jun 11, 2008 11:06 pm

eh, ill make 1 more attempt without the passing stuff. pdub made a good point last night and mentioned that the computer players will still try to do FSS even if I remove it from the aiact. The only solution for that is to disable it in the players.dbf but in dynasty and whatnot that automatically gets overwritten.

If anything gets done Ill be sure to post it here for you guys to try.

That can probably be fixed with a batchfile that changes everyone's active FSS attribute to 0. We're going to have to keep using a Primacy batchfile fix anyway since 06 has the recalculation bug.

is there no way to add the 07 type, switching fss to live 06? that would be the best choice.

Fri Jun 13, 2008 3:50 am

Not as far as I'm aware.

Sat Jun 21, 2008 4:48 am

How are your aiacts coming along Jao? Any release dates set?

Mon Jul 07, 2008 9:45 am

I might also add that in option two, Fss guy's should get the random stuff in the FSS categories that are not currently active. Thanks
P.S.Is that mod still alive, or should I start considering to buy a console?

Mon Jul 07, 2008 10:37 am

Oh the mod is still alive and well, Unfortunately I'm going to need the newest post draft roster to get really into it but I have been doing things with my all CAP generic roster.

My latest AIACT removed the parts of the aiact that bound a certain animation to the FSS triggers. In plain English, I made all FSS stuff occur naturally. The biggest issue I had was that I completely removed layups....that was fun for a couple of minutes but I ultimately plan to go through each dunk in the game and systematically reassign dunkpacks.

So, yea, removing FSS is where I am at, and this mod is alive and well in my eyes.

Mon Jul 07, 2008 10:52 am

It's definitely alive, it's just a rather large mod to work on.

Mon Jul 07, 2008 12:28 pm

cool cool, just a request, I was wondering if you can work on more low-post moves to highlight the importances of a dominate big man inside such as Tim Duncan, KG, Chris Bosh, Yao, Amare, Boozer etc... (players who are not only power players but can create their own shots down-low)Thanks

Mon Jul 07, 2008 4:08 pm

Can we also use or import some files from march madness games in ps2? cuz i think the backdown and passing animations from march madness is good.

Mon Jul 07, 2008 8:30 pm

06 doesnt seem to like using other game's animation files.

But the backing down and passing a basically exactly the same animation wise.

Tue Jul 15, 2008 6:58 pm

Can you make some regular moves into FSS so that they can be done by choice and not randomly? Like the floater, players like Tony Parker and Chris Paul could use that.

Fri Aug 01, 2008 9:19 am

What's happening with this aiact?

Fri Aug 01, 2008 12:03 pm

i have 10 aiacts in my folder. each has at least 1 thing wrong with it that makes me not want to release it out yet. i wont release anything until i believe I have done a better job than the EA default aiact, which I havent done yet.

Fri Aug 01, 2008 6:34 pm

You do that. But I'm so looking forward to this...

and when will this mod going to be release??

Re: Freestyle Superstars Discussion

If you mean the NBA Live PC Project, it's already out. See the release thread at the top of the page.

And yes, there are similar mods for 07 (SUM, but it hasn't been updated in a long time) as well as 08 (TUP 09).
