WTF, did any of you blaming Nelson actually watch the damn game? He bailed out the team in the fourth quarter by actually being able to get the ball to people while they were open. He blew the Fisher three (when Lee should've been on the floor instead of both him and Alston as everyone but SVG apparently knows) and crapped out in the overtime, but there wouldn't have been one without him. Alston wouldn't have made those plays because he would've rightly been camped at the three point line.

How about Lewis making two shots all night? Turkoglu's constant desire late in games to take everyone off the dribble and not use the PICK-AND-ROLL WHICH HAS DESTROYED EVERYONE ALL YEAR LONG? Howard's entire offensive performance (not just free throws...seven turnovers, under 50% from the floor)? And worst, how about having 4.6 seconds, three shots at it, only taking two of them, and blowing it every single time by waiting too long?

Then there's the question why Tony Battie keeps showing up on the court.

Kobe's bitching about everything is getting annoying to watch, especially when he gets the very call he just bitched about next time down. (And it's something like "I JUMPED INTO HIM, WHY DIDN'T I GET THE FOUL? OMFG REF.") And if someone told me Mark Jackson had died, I wouldn't feel bad. Ever.

Phil Jackson does what he does for a reason, that's why he's got 9 rings, it's not a fluke.

Good game by both teams, hats off to Sauru for keeping up with the NBA at his age, this shit is seriously bad for your heart.

Lakers didn't win the game, the Magic lost it....as simple as that....Ariza is nice....I still don't understand having a 5'10" PG in for defensive purposes instead of Courtney Lee....he makes some great decisions at times, but certainly has his moments of brain farts....for some reason I think not doubling Lebron in game 2 of ECF meant he felt obliged to double Kobe....different circumstances....

Kobe was contained to 32 points on 31 shots (only made 11 of them)....and to not win a game when you do contain Kobe like that just proves why Magic don't deserve the title....they might've won most of the 50-50 games in the East Semis & Finals, but they're 0-2 in Finals & that's why they're down 1-3 instead of up 3-1 or at least tied 2-2....

Magic will redeem themselves in game 5, but will fall in LA in game 6....such is life....

You lie. You'd at least have to throw out a "Momma, there goes that man" upon hearing the news.

It's a shame the Magic didn't win game 4. I really want them to win the series, but it doesn't look too good right now. (N)

Edit
Oh and I can't believe there was no call against Kobe for the elbow to Jameer's face. How blind can the refs be?!

Agreed, and they pretty much cancelled each other out. The bad calls/missed calls will always be there in any game and they'll always stand out when they happen at the most crucial times of the most crucial games but both teams had a chance to win the game, one team got the job done when it mattered the most while the other blew their opportunity. At the end of the day, the game was decided by the players through missed free throws at one end and timely threes at the other.

It's the NBA for God's sake !
Referees must be ready for this times !
Fuck referees , NBA Officiating is one of the Worst in Sports if not , the Worst .
Yes players make a bigger impact but sometimes it all comes to the refs calls .

We can blame Howard FT's , Nelson's decision to defend Fisher , Rashard's performance and Stan's PG picking .
But sometimes the referee have some impact on the game .
What happened if the Ref called on that elbow ?
Magic could've won , right ?

We can blame the players , but we can also blame the refs .

That elbow might have look like an accident to the refs, that's why they didn't call it. It looks pretty inadvertent to me, too.

We can also blame the Lakers for taking advantage of the opponents mistakes and misfortunes.

As the X said, it's not really that the Lakers won, it's more that the Magic lost. They played 110% in the first half, beat LA to all the loose balls and just got everything and anything they wanted. By giving so much energy, they came out way flat in the second half. Standing around, watching the ball and you could see Howards frustration/tiredness. LA got it going and that really just took the wind out of the Magic. Came storming out...then sort of fizzled out.

They're a great team to watch though. When Howard is able to handle better on the offensive end and they get him the damn ball, they'll be even more fun to watch.

I was even more surprised seeing assistant Luc Longley in the Lakers bench.

I'm still supporting the Magics, but with them down 3-1 it's nearly impossible for them to win. I think they will take game 5, then the Lakers will take game 6 at home and that's it. Another championship in the book.

The kind of support that you dont understand. OK, I'm supporting the Magics because I flat out hate the Lakers, but when they're down 3-1 you have to admit the fact that their chances of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy is very slim. Reality bites. That's it in a nutshell. I can go on wasting my time thinking that the Magics will somehow make a miraculous comeback to win this series 4-3, but at the end of the day they just wont. The Lakers will take it in game 5 or 6 or in the worse case scenario game 7, but they will still win. And no, I'm not routing for the Lakers. Not one bit. I hate them, especially Kobe. I'm in the same wagon as Lean here.

Orlando Magic, what a Shaq (Howard), on-fire, always shoot Scott (Lewis), a better playmaker (Hedo), Nick Andy (Nelson)...
I see a copy but I want Howard has the ring...
Very hard because 3 wins they need.

In 2003, Blazers led the series 3-0 first but Dirk-Nash-Fin's Mavs win the series with an impossible miracle win the series. Magic needs it and must make a magic to Elegant Kobe...
