Beasley leads Heat over Crabman and Co.
--------------------------------------------------

Image
Beasley finished with a double with 32 points and 13 boards.

Image

After a second quarter push by the Heat, winning the second quarter by 12, the Heat never looked back.
They won every quarter that came after it and finished with a 23-point advantage.

This was large part to Michael Beasley, who scored 27 points through the first three quarters, finishing his
night with an alley-oop lay-up from D-Wade, who got his double-double thanks to that. After the starters took
a sit, the bench carried on hurting the Grizzlies.

Sean Williams scored 4 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in the final 5 minutes, Korver added 8 points. Williams
also had 3 blocks. Chalmers had 3 quick assists.

For the Grizzlies, the first pick of the draft did score 29 points, but Crabman struggled from the field, especially
in the fourth quarter. He shot 2-8, 0-3 from three. His only 2 field goals came late in the game, both were and-ones.

The short month is soon over for the Heat, as they face the Sonics on the road next.

The Sonics put up a fight against the Heat, playing surprisingly well on both ends of the court,
but couldn't hold off the Heat rally, led by D-Wade and had to accept a 103-95 defeat.

D-Wade scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, a total he had compiled with the first three quarters.
He made his final 6 free throws and threw down a monster job over Jeff Green to seal the deal for the
Heat. The Heat got good contributions from many players, led by Beasley with 25 and 9.

Mario Chalmers was a spark off the bench with Kyle Korver. Chalmers chipped in 15 points in 22 minutes,
being an excellent reserve to Rajon Rondo, who played only 28 minutes because of foul trouble. Korver
racked up 8 points in 6 minutes.

But there were also underachievers. C.J Miles played 34 minutes. He was a beast defensively, allowing
Kevin Durant only to score 3 points. Durant also had 6 turnovers. But offensively, Miles shot 0-6 from the
field (0-3 3PT) and 1-5 from the line to finish with a point. Sean Williams registered a Mario.

As mentioned, Durant scored 3 points, taking only 2 shots from the field. Oskar Tikka scored 18 on 8-20
shooting, taking most of the shots in the 4th quarter. These were mostly misses, as he scored 4 points
in the fourth on 2-7 shooting (0-2 3PT)

Shaun Livingston and Damien Wilkins combined for 27 points off the bench on 12-18 shooting.

Robert Swift scored 17 points and pulled down 4 rebounds. He averages 17.9 points and 9.2 rebounds this season.

It's Christmas time and the Heat players have a long break before the next game to spend the holidays
with their families. Next up are Bobcats, who are really struggling (3-10 record). Their leading scorer
is Raymond Felton with 18.8 points.

Miami went 3-1 in December, only loss coming from a last second tip-in by Stromile Swift. For the season, the Heat are 8-3, third in the league and first in the East. Miami made two trades in December, acquiring Sean Williams and a first round pick from Minnesota. They parted ways with James Jones, Haywood Toure and Tony Allen. Allen had complained about team chemistry and was shipped out.

Positive notes :

√ - The Heat acquired a first round pick from the Wolves, a possible Top 10 pick. This will help the Heat in the busy off-season they will have.
√ - Michael Beasley averaged 23 points and 7.3 rebounds in December, getting better and better every game.
√ - Tyson Chandler averaged 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, dominating the defensive glass. Offensively he grabbed 5.3 offensive rebounds and shot 56% from the field.

Negative notes :

√ - C.J Miles did hit the game-winner in Los Angeles and held Kevin Durant to just 3 points. But his shooting has been off, shooting just 31% from the field, 13% from three and 63% from the line.
√ - Th bench averaged 20.5 points, almost 10 points less then in November.

Well, school is basically over for me, so I'll go and spend a few weeks out of town in the fresh air and with old friends :D I'll still be following your story, as I'll bring my laptop. My save and Live 06 are on my home PC, so I can't continue writing this. :D
