Primacy question

Thu May 14, 2009 9:18 am

Hi all,

Is there anyway to permanently set a player's primacy value? It seems that any time a team roster is adjusted, the primacy ratings are set by the game automatically.

If there is no way to lock a primacy value, is there at least a way of influencing how high or low the computer sets it to? Using the NBA PC Project rosters in dynasty, the Lakers rely on Fisher, Gasol, and Ariza as much as they do on Bryant. I keep ending up with 20 point games from each of them when I sim.

So far I just adjust the opponent's primacy ratings before I play against them. But it's annoying to see a scorer like Lebron James average low twenties because the computer thinks Delonte West should take just as many shots. I change it in pdf editor, but the second they sign/release a player it the ratings change again.

No, unfortunately not; that's why I include a Primacy fix batch file with my rosters to be run regularly in Dynasty Mode. The game will recalculate it when there are trades, injuries and free agent signings and as yet we haven't found a way to stop that from happening. The most hassle-free solution is to have a file on hand to re-apply more desirable Primacy ratings quickly and easily, if not the one included in the NLSC rosters then one of your own creation.
