Sorry to hear you're pretty disappointed, the patch does include portraits were updated but updating portraits for absolutely everyone was not a priority in v1.0. Also, we're only able to use what we have; I didn't have portraits for everyone handy. Also, I'm a bit puzzled by you being "pretty disappointed" by the lack of portrait updates which are probably the most minor art updates when it comes to getting rosters and the like up to date. Anyway as fumanchu said, this was addressed in the release notes so you might want to read those, our recent progress reports and other notes about the Project.

Andrew...if i update the accesories for the players in 1.0, what file do i need to send to you to be able to incorporate it to 1.1?

Just individual player accessories? That'd be appearance.dbf. If you've done anything with the default team colours I'd need the updated teamgear.dbf file too.

i'm just editing individual players per team...changing the accessories of the players...so it's just the appearance.dbf right?

That's right, very easy to substitute in place of the old one.

Which is something I did to a certain extent in the last roster but with over 400 active players it definitely helps to have a second set of hands on the job.

i'm currently looking at videos and photos listing what needs updating and will start with the update later when i get home...coz i dont have anything to do with no jersey requests...might as well help on the little things....i'm still waiting for someone to upload xiaoju's last shoe patch released coz i cant download through rapidshare...but i wont update the player's shoes...i will simply convert it for use in 06....after conversion, someone needs to update the shoes per player...

A tip to those in leagues: Don't install the custom menu art if you need the ability to save player stats after a game, as it takes away the 'save stats' button. (And even reinstalling the savestats patch still doesn't work)

hi andrew! by the way, thanks for uploading v1.0. i'm playing it and it's really great. i have a question to ask, how can i put legends like Larry Johnson, Glen Rice, Kevin Johnson and others legends in the sign/release player menu. tried to sign them but their names weren't there. i hope you can help me with this as i like to use them in my dynasty mode. thanks in advance.

Probably the easiest way would be to create another copy of them. If you create some dummy players and save the roster, you can then copy and paste their players.dbf and appearance.dbf entries over the new entries at the bottom of the database. You'll need to change their PLAYERID values to the next ones in sequence (ie starting with 3361 as of v1.0) and change their TEAM value to 40.

Hey Andrew, now that v1.0 is out, any plans to start a Bulls Dynasty?

Not really. I've already been playing through a Bulls Dynasty in 06 for a couple of years including playing through an entire season en route to the championship and I've got a Dynasty going in 09 on the Xbox 360 so no, no plans to start a new Dynasty right now.

thanks Andrew. will try to do that. but is there a possibility that you will include them and other missing legends (Hornacek, Majerle, etc.) in your next release?

also, in the v1.0, does the bug in the salary of Shawn Marion and Stephon Marbury already fixed? in one of your beta releases for 06, during the re-signing phase, they are asking for a 0 salary. i find it unfair for the other teams as it will not affect their total team salary.

Probably at some point but at the moment I couldn't say whether it will be the next release or not. We'll see.

That bug is with the game, not the rosters. There's nothing I can do about that unfortunately.

sorry if this is lil off topic...but is there a command i can use for my batch file to make fshline automatically press enter and go to the next file? we know fshline needs the user to press enter and it's a pain if you have 999 fsh files... thanks

its ok! i only need a faster way to make importing of bmp files to a live 06 shoe fsh...currently i'm doing it manually using FSHX

i'm still converting and have finished 100 shoes (sh001-sh100)...will continue later coz my wrist hurts hehe....

as for the accessories, i'm using yuckmouf's accessory table for nba 2k9...after i finish all players, then the latest photos and videos will come in...i have finished only 1 team so far coz of the shoe conversion..The hawks...will continue with a team or two later...

Andrew, if i finish the accessories, will others be able to use it if they download the appearance.dbf file and overwrite theirs (using nbalive patch v.1 of course)?

Absolutely, so long as you haven't added any new players to the roster. Otherwise there'll be extra entries in appearance.dbf which could potentially cause problems.

The only question I have is which team's courts we updated. I know the Raptors was because I usually play as them but that seems to be the only court that changed when I installed the Full Package. The Boston Celtics court still says Boston Celtics on the end baselines and not TD Banknorth Gardens. I played an away game in Minnesota and I think its that court that is supposed to have the colored in three point circle, but that wasn't changed either.

Just wondering if not all of the teams courts were supposed to be changed or not, but if so is there a way for me to make sure they install properly.

No definitely not, there's only a few court updates in v1.0. The Hornets, Raptors, Bucks, Bobcats, Thunder and the All-Star courts (including the Dunk Contest, Rookie Challenge and Three Point Shootout) are the only ones updated at this time.
