do you update starting lineups? because i played with your roster bulls against bucks, and bucks had on their starting lineup redd, he is injured and out for rest of the season...

i've just noticed you significantly lowered player potential. why? won't this be offset after the draft couse most of the first round rookies have potential above 75, first five picks usually between 87 and 93...

1- this is an uninjured roster
2- an average rookie come out with an average overall rating,5st five picks little upper..But the thoery on the rookies is unless its just COMPLETELY out of scale you leave it alone. Your gonna suck the fun out of it, were being control freaks.

When LeBron entered the league we couldnt say "Hey your not allowed to run as fast as point guards because your 250-260. You know where im going? I mean Charles Barkley came into the league and was 6-4 and killed the glass, should we have turned his rebound ratings down because it wasnt "realistic"?

We should let the generated/not in the NBA people alone and let them develop into whatever they develop. If you get lucky you get lucky if you get a bust you get a bust. THAT is being realistic not changing the players into what we want them to be like.

i'm not worried bout future rookies, i'm worried bout current rookies and sophmores. they don't have a chance to develop. with this rose and mayo and westbrook and beasley and a bunch of other guys that have great upside will stay the same or even devolve through the seasons and never reach their true potential... don't like it at all, sorry.

Juza, I think that is unrealistic change the coach profiles set by neon according the real team's playstyle to achieve something that could be achieved easier changing some sliders.
Why lower the attributes of the players,the defensive pressure or increasing the zone defense if our goal is the more realistic simulation and in reality the pressure is high and the zone usage is very very low?
It isn't better leave all that as neon set and tweak some attributes and tendencies only in sliders? It would be more realistic

about coach profiles, i'm just currently testing which way is better,changing sliders is not realistic ..try to think about it...Player attributes are as they have to according to Neon spreedsheet so i don't know why you are aware about it. Zone defense coach sliders are the same as his previous version sent to me before the last one. About defensive pressure, reality and simulation are two different things cause in gaming if you set def.pressure too high ,as it was before, CPU will always tend to go inside the lane on all star level...last thing....if it works out why should we complain about it?

are you going to do more portraits, or that guy from who you got them? There is still few portraits missing, like demetris nichols who signed 10-day contract with knicks, and also krstic?

just simmed through 5 seasons. progression of old players is ok, i apologize :)

well done...BTW i re-edited zone defense to their original values trying to fix only close/mid/3pt shots on coach profiles. Pressure defense will definitely set in 5-9 range...i think it's the best solution cause increasing it lack of space improves insane backdoor inside the lane passes.

I played a couple of games more and I am satisfied generally with your roster. When I press well the shooters I don't have too many 3pt shoots, usually cpu has 20-25 3pt shoots, that is ok for me. But I think cpu doesn't steal too much.

Also, I decreased the loose ball foul a little bit (affects offensive rebounds) and I increased charging foul because I think it is more realistic to see and some charge fouls. Thanks again for all you have done so far.

PS. Arenas doesn't have socks.

after further testing i agree bout pressure. don't know bout zone defense, i think users should adjust theirs on the fly - in game depending if they play good/bad perimeter shooting team.
did you notice how cpu reacts now when you pump fake. they buy into it alot giving you easy jumpers and/or driving lanes to the basket...

I just played a game with your 3.01 ros.
Juza Roster v.3.0.1.ROS
juza settings v2.5.STG

do you know what it happen?
1th: LA 16- WA 30 , then i did a 28 - 32 12:2 run ! Warrior did 40+ pts in the 1th!!! but 2th 3rd 4th is my showtime! always lean 10+ pts the game is over.

LAKERS is me. sure.. 21/52 3pts fg. Crazy game. i love it.

Do i have to always start NBA2K9.exe with textmod if i want to use new portraits or do i just have to do it once? please answer quickly as possible... if i have to do it always, maybe someone could provide portraits without textmod?

you must load texmod every time you play the game. i will post v 3.0.2 this afternoon ( within few hours....in italy..of course ).

basically i focus my attention on the gameplay:
1- try to find the right balance between mid js - 3 pts
2- cpu team zone usage


BTW i need feedbacks from you to improve gameplay.

I heard nobody can do it so far cuz portraits file is .CDF not .IFF, so can't open that file. :shock:

No problem, i think everybody should tell after playing 10 or 15 games. Its hard do be objective after only playing 1-2 games

right man,i 've just definitely fixed gameplay/coach profiles for spurs,wizards ,warriors and 76ers. keep in mind that now, being more space between the ball handler and the defender, you have to play a good defense :wink:
